    I would love to see Brendel go for his 3rd olympic gold (4th overall) in this particular event in Paris 2024. The C2 500m does not really suit his strengths and the level of competition in C1 1000 M is not as strong today as it used to be.

      @@Simonadas04 I've done K1 for more than 5 years before going to C1. On my opinion, C1 it's way harder on everything. More unstable, specially when the wind it's high. Also, it's more tiring. More difficult to control the direction, as you don't have the rudder :P.

    Canoeing is the best sport among water sports. You see where you going, you see what's in the water and most importantly on a sombre training day you can have fun with a nice girl you see tanning close by and put her in your boat to elope to the bushes.

    • @holdenc2636
      @holdenc2636 7 років тому +1

      John Lee I see that the boats look like they are leaning to the opposite side they are stroking on so maybe they are designed to turn a little in order to counter their stroke

      this and a special paddling technique

    • @Satyagrahiwannabe
      @Satyagrahiwannabe 6 років тому +10

      You have to J stroke to keep it running straight. It's one of the most technical sports that exists. It took me a whole season just to be able to stay up in a beginner boat. Then another to steer a straight line.

    • @Kenny02120
      @Kenny02120 6 років тому +2

      yep you feather your stroke out to the side at the end of the stroke, called the J-stroke.
      wind is the most frustrating condition to paddle in because it pushes the back of your boat in a way that makes it so you either have to J-stroke more or less. you are at a major disadvantage if the wind comes from the opposite direction of the side you paddle on, because it means you must J-stroke more (which ultimately slows you down)
