I played this game all the time as a kid. I got it in a doublepack at Walmart alongside that Tim Curry Frankenstein game. When I was 19, I met Malcolm McDowell at a convention and told him that game was my introduction to him, and he said "I haven't heard about that game since the day I made it!"
@@BathrobeKeck That's awesome! I knew Malcolm McDowell in this before I knew he was in any other movies. I still refer to him as Stuart Davenport in my mind haha
My name is Cameron Michael and I LOVED this game because I knew I was about to survive. I was only 8 or 9 when I played this. Thanks for uploading and recapturing my childhood!
I remember playing this game so much when i was a kid back in 2003/2004 but i never finished it, this was the game that got me addicted to point and click adventures
I was 9 years old at that same exact time. I also was instantly hooked to this and the Frankenstein game the bundle came with. It's so nostalgic, going through Comp USA and Fry's Electronics with my dad. I love these gems.
I love how when he enters his trailer around 13:00 that has a full sized bed, huge refrigerator, his own bathroom with a shower, and a little study and this boy goes “So THIS is gonna be my home for the next few days?.....GREAT.” BRO You’re from Manhattan. Your studio apartment is smaller, less noise, and no traffic. Consider yourself lucky. He’s the one acting like a pompous ASS 😂
*You go to the bathroom, but Malcolm McDowell follows you in.* “Needing to use the facilities, hmm? What’s next, you actually DRINK WATER?! You’re a strange one; I’d hate to leave you alone! Haha!” *He stares an uncomfortably long time until he awkwardly leaves.*
When I was very little, I used to sit on a stool and watch my grandmother play this game, as well as Frankenstein: Through the Eyes of the Monster. I was just enamored with the games and she'd play them for a little bit each day. Even after seeing her beat the games, I'd still enjoy watching her play again. Eventually, she just let me play the games at that computer, and it's the first time I ever played a computer game. When I moved out, she actually gave me both of the games to take with me and play whenever I wanted. I still have Frankenstein, but somewhere along my moves, Mummy got lost. My grandmother has passed now, and I still think about these games. I'd like to get ahold of Mummy again and play it once more. Some day.
Omg I finnally found it! I played this game like age of 8 or 9 and couldnt finish it. Finding this game whole life since I forgot the name.Only remember the game box image. Since English isn't my mother language I didn't understand what I played at that time. I just clicked and guess the story. NOW I can know the whole story! So nostalgist! Thank you for upload it!
One of the clever things about this game is the placement of Davenport’s office and trailer, how he’s right across from Michael and Lorri, and his office is on the other side and the tower on the opposing side, among other things. He’s basically over everyone’s shoulders
Ah, one of the precious few point-and-clicks I was able to complete without looking up a walkthrough... although it took me a hell of a lot longer than an hour and 40 minutes. lol Thanks for posting this!
Thanks for posting this! I remember picking this game up out of the bargain bin of my local EB in 1998 when I was a starving college student. It's cheesy, sure, but the gameplay is fun and Malcom McDowell really hams it up. A nice underrated adventure game.
At 21:36 When Stewart Davenport finishes his sentences if you wait a few seconds more he will say Well aren’t you going to go look at what happened or are you scared the mummy’s gonna get you.
I remember buying this game for like 10 bucks it was one of the best games I played so far back then, I also played Frankenstein: through The eyes of The monster. I wasn't actually expecting to find this on here.
If you keep bugging davenport, during your first brief there, he gets mad if I remember right. Granted I was 10 years old when I first and last played this. but I remember him getting pissed.
13:05 I referenced this game, to myself, on my first day of high school. “So, THIS is my home for four years? Grrreeaaat.” Luckily, my high school experience was mostly harmless!

@@BenSliwa same lol
yoooo dude i totally forgot about the Frankenstein game. Man thank you for reminding me. Great times.
I knew I wasn't the only one to remember this. I didn't understand the same because I was like 3 or 4 playing with my older brother
My name is Cameron Michael and I LOVED this game because I knew I was about to survive. I was only 8 or 9 when I played this. Thanks for uploading and recapturing my childhood!
Any idea what that necklace does? I never figured that out.
being 32 now for the longest time I thought I made this game up. I finally find out I wasn't crazy and it was real.

Exactly!!
I know, right.
For a "hard boiled" type, he acted like such a princess there.
Assuming you've never been to Egypt, if they're isn't adequate AC and cold booze you're going to have a bad time... 😅

Man! Lol I was starting to think he was omnipresent 🥴😂😂

I love this game way back in 1996.
Spend entire month playing it.😀
*"The keys I have don't fit"*
"The keys I have don't fit"
I swear this line still comes in my head 30 years later lol

When I was 7 years old I had a demo of this game on my computer. One of my favorites ! Always nostalgic videos of old games!
I was 9 when I played this. Oh man, that music right before you touch the comp took me COMPLETELY back lol.

ALL of that stuff in a small backpack including a full uncapped canister of gas!
Amazing. Thanks for uploading
Goddamn, so many memories. This was my game as a kid!

I remember this game as a kid lol
@49:30 is the scariest shit I ever did as a kid. I WUS SCURRED.
I got this game bundled with the Frankenstein game and never was able to beat either of them
same i remember watching my dad play them. the frankenstein one always spooked me :
Me too ! The Frankenstein game was really creepy to me.
I beat this one, but the Frankenstein game was just impossible. lol
Me too, I loved them both
At 21:36 When Stewart Davenport finishes his sentences if you wait a few seconds more he will say

Another ABSOLUTE GEM!!!
Thank you!!!
LOVED this game as a kid, and it was my first introduction to the great actor Malcolm McDowell
46:50 I really wish there was a video made that you would just hear the soundtrack of the whole underground mines that always gave me chills.
It may be set in the desert, but Malcolm's still singing in the rain
I loved the atmosphere of these point and click games. For me it was escapism.
Shame there's no Dracula game from this team when they have a Mummy and a Frankenstein game.

I wonder if the sound effects are public domain, I notice the howling wind sounds are the exact same as used in Granny, you can hear it in the attic
I wish GOG had it or that it would work outside of its native Windows 95 OS. I do have a referb XP PRo 32 bit machine.
The reincarnating part could be a reference to a lost deleted scene from the Boris Karloff Mummy.
Malcolm McDowell!!!!!
I played this as a kid as well, never did beat it. They don't make games like this anymore so nostalgic.
Needs more machine learning.
I used to harass Peter Davenport lol
Fan and the scorpion lol forgot about that.
If you keep bugging davenport, during your first brief there, he gets mad if I remember right. Granted I was 10 years old when I first and last played this. but I remember him getting pissed.
wow so this is melcolm mcdowels 1st in a pc puzzle game lol i had no idea he was in this until i looked up the cast in the game i was surprised
Live when you turn the wrong way in the tombs and he leans over and says “no. I said *that* way you idiot”
I had this game and killed and myst and swat and titanic PC games. Killed them.
13:05 I referenced this game, to myself, on my first day of high school. “So, THIS is my home for four years? Grrreeaaat.”
Luckily, my high school experience was mostly harmless!
21:17 Feels like a Scooby-Doo Reference
What are the names of the characters? I'm very curious about it lately.
Lmao was this inspiration for The Mummy movie?
The original mummy movie with Boris Karloff was the inspiration for the 1999 Mummy movie
No vsync? Nasty.
