    There are so many videos for wood projects. I was scrolling really fast through the videos, when yours caught my attention.
    The colors and the pattern of your post did it. The way you placed the flag, is so eye-catching.
    I was not surprised that you were informative, and easy to follow. It was also shot well, thank you. You have definitely inspired me.

      @Dad Builds it ! I call myself The Garage Weirdo because of the weird looks I get as people walk their dogs and are shocked to see a woman making all the noise, (at appropriate times of the day, as stated in the BYLAWS) Maybe I'll change my handle to Mom Builds. I like it, but I kinda like Garage Weirdo.

    Great video, thank you! Having a brain cramp….how did you get a 24 inch star…i have one…to fit on thirteen 1 x 2? Isn’t that only 19 inches?

    THE star you got on amazon is it a 24 by 24 inch star and if it is i only see like a plastic one for $33.00-do you have the link to where you bought that star because i don't want to spend that much on one-ty

      Bill if you watch the video by Chris Notap called Easiest way to make a star you will be able to make a stencil any size you want very easily. I used scrape wood and the traced it onto a piece of luan. Good luck

    Ok question
    You stated you star is 24", and that you cut thirteen 1x2 24" L. But thirteen 1x2 come to 19", and your star fits perfectly on the glued boards.
    Can you please clarify the star size?
    I have realized the error I've made, now all makes sense.
    Any chance you could put a link to the star stencil you used?
    Better yet, could you possibly give me the dimensions of just one point

    I noticed you switched to a jigsaw did the jigsaw work better

    • @dadbuildsit1673
      @dadbuildsit1673  3 роки тому +2

      i used a jig saw for the final cut at the end to make a cleaner end cut. if you go all the way to the end with a skill saw, it would cut to far into the next board since the blade is round. Thanks for watching.

    What is the size of the star stencil you got off of Amazon?

  • @garymenasco5449
    @garymenasco5449 3 роки тому

    I want to make the star but cannot figure out how to cut the angle or even what angle it is

    • @dadbuildsit1673
      @dadbuildsit1673  3 роки тому

      I ordered a star stencil from amazon traced it and cut it out on the 1/4 inch plywood. The plywood will last a long time and is easier to trace around.
