Pretty sure your bridge was too high… lower it to the floor level rather than cover the floor with reeds the Sim can’t walk through 😂
Honestly i love that you jump right into the video and dont have a long/animated opening with copyright free music, and a rambling 5 minute introduction on the video. You just let the title and thumbnail speak for itself and go right into the content and wow i LOVE it. You got an instant sub for that 🥰💕
It honestly messes with my head a bit sometimes when he starts the video with "number 1. I'm like "Did I accidentally fast forward or something?"

Oh Satch, sweetie, you need TwistedMexi “better build/buy” and “organized debug”, they are a LIFE SAVER. You won’t regret it. It makes using the debug items way easier to find, it has things like “moveobjects always on” and multiple rows of items vs just 2. Absolutely worth the download tbh, it’s my must-have mod and I don’t even use debug/live edit all that much (or at least I try not to)
Also, escape key for options menu. Much easier to smash the left corner of your keyboard than click twice

And TOOL lets you use it in live mode and would allow him to size those statues up or down precisely and put things lower or higher precisely. There were many moments in the video where I was like “USE TOOL!” 🤣 I’m not great with it but I use scale and elevation all the time.

The issue I have with the shelf desk is when I have the walls down or even partially down, the shelf vanishes and it's just a floating laptop 😂
If you put the shelf on a half wall it will stay visible ^^ it's not a fix for every situations but... it can help
Whenever I do the shelf desk I always use an outer wall so I don’t have this issue as much

For the jungle gym, you could position the pirate ship playset, so the slide portion lines up with the wavy roof, then scale the ship down, but still have the slide portion work with the roof.
at that point, just use the pirate ship lol

Thank you for featuring my videos! ☺️ you did it great. I was sneaky with the poles on the swing set and used tool mod and made it the slightest bit smaller, but the top is still usable when it pokes through. It’s just hard to explain in such a short video. The seasons one doesn’t poke through 😊
The build mode pain 🤧😂 making everything functional and pretty takes lots of ripped out hairs. Loved this video please build more! 😊
Also the temporary lag solution with opening the main menu 😂 been there

For the open doorway you can add "hinges" too. There is a round metal pole for fences in debug that you can line up, size it down and put along the frame to look like hinges... For the shelf desk you could add a side table under it at the edge to hide the dining table or use corbels under the shelf to look like brackets holding it up.
If you made the walls higher on the ground floor, the swing wouldn't poke through like that, probably.
Or add a higher platform.

this was hilarious btw 😂 the bridge hack is much easier if you use a floating platform.. hard to explain but basically build two floors, delete the bottom floor, then lower the second floor to the level that the bridge is. you can then add steps to it.
or you can do it the way mentioned but keep the floor level to the ground so the sims will walk on it

that hiding a surface with a laptop and chair attached to place a laptop somewhere else trick I actually used in a build recently. I used a kitchen island counter though, and hid that in the custom looking built in I somehow came up with. Turned out to be a really cozy nook space.

No my friend, I AM NOT A CREATIVE PERSON ANYMORE LOL SMH! I had a gap in “Simming” (stopped at 2 picked back up at 4 just a year ago) and I am always BLOWN AWAY by how creative people are! 🤯🥺😍🔥 I didn’t even know “mods” existed up until a little less than a year ago! 💀😭 I feel like I have SO MUCH catching up to do lol smh! 😩🤦🏽♀️
I'm sure somebody said this already but the poles poked through because you used the island living swings, which might need medium wall height, on short walls use the Seasons swings which fit much better. 0
I think for the swing set playground, if you made the upper area a platform, it would hide the sticks of the swing. I didn't test it, but I think that would work?!
I've made bridges before and what I do is make it a room and give it one of the stilt foundations. It also looks better if you raise it and put some one-tile levels on the edges so it makes shallow stairs, that way they won't be standing *in* the bridge so much.

Lol for the vampire statues, the ones on pedestals are just sizing the pedestal. put the item down, then select the statue and you can resize it separately ☺️

Ya'know how a Sim won't walk over a path blocked by plants? You blocked the bridge by putting the plants immediately beneath, far too close, and it blocked off the pathing. xD

Maybe the bottom floor height was too small compared to the tiktok and thats why it poked through the floor (climbing frame one)

So im also not the best builder but how do you bring that bridge up, what keys do you use? At 11:55. Ive seen this in many videos but have never seen how to actually do it
The ctrl+9 and ctrl+0 keys are the ones u use to go up and down… :)

How do you delete the wall without removing the door?
The first one does not look like an open door to me, personally, it looks like a freestanding door. If anyone uses cc, there's lots of slightly open door cc. I appreciate when people try to get creative but I don't think it actually looks like that. The frame doesn't move with the door.
I think the first level of the jungle gym needs to be a medium wall height

I just downloaded the ea app for the game (as I wasn't paying attention with what was happening withorigin) and now the sims physically won't open, traumatised...
I'm not sure if I'm the only one with this problem, but I can't size down objects? I can size them up (and it's not the button on the keyboard that's broken) but I just can't size down 🤔
It's really annoying because I can't do a lot of these "hacks" or just decorating 😅
I had that problem on my mac. I had to download and use the keyboard setup from US. (I couldn't do it on the swedish one). Then it worked. If you're on a pc then I'm not sure what the problem might be. 🤔
if you have a different keyboard layout buttons won't always match. i have a norwegian/scandinavian keyboard layout and the . and , keys are used to rotate objects, and the Å and ¨ keys are used to size up and down. it's been a while since i last played, so i don't remember which does what lol

also... the reason why the bridge did not work and the other one only changed the floor color was because... well you can't expect your sim to run through all this plants...
