I finally realized why I like Spiro 1's atmosphere the most. In spiro 1 it's you against the world. In spiro 2 and 3 you're dealing with other peoples' problems.
Year of the dragon had you getting the dragon eggs back, it’s the same premise as the first one except younger dragons, the sequels were better because of the ability to play as other characters too
That doesn't make them better. And I'm talking about the atmosphere for Spiro 1, and how I preferred that there were basically no other characters you interacted with. Constantly being talked to by people in 2 and 3 and hearing them complain about their problems was not fun. The minigames were a change of pace, but usually trash, the level design was far worse because you constantly had to backtrack for quests, and had to unlock powers which caused even more backtracking. Being able to complete a level in one go was much more enjoyable, and the art style for the original was so much more abstract that it had a certain fantasy charm to it. You don't NEED an explanation on what the things you're fighting are, or why you're fighting them. They're a threat to you and that's enough justification for killing them. The gnorcs were a perfectly fine enemy.
i like the personality of new worlds and the enemies contained with each, otherwise yea some spyro 2 minigames were good fun, others didn't work well with the mechanics of the game. Spyro 3s extra characters were a change of pace, though none were as fun as spyro gameplay, making it more tedious.. Sgt byrd wasn't too bad though and the skateboarding worked well.
Am i the only one whos getting ever so slightly ticked off that he keeps dissing the legend series?? Like they aren't the best games out there, but they certainly not the worst. The legend trilogy is darker, specially the last one. Though I will fully agree the multiplayer isn't great and some of the controls are iffy, the story itself I love personally. It was more of a story than you got in any of the other games. Well, except for maybe a hero's tale from what I remember. I grew up with the original trilogy, all the console games after up untill the last actual spyro game. (Dawn of the Dragon) If anything the trilogy gives him a back story and an actual life story. While I'll always love the original spyro, the legend series spyro has a strong place in my heart.
That's fine, but don't get mad when other people hate that boring ass piece of shit series and call it out for its flaws, which thats all the games are, flaws.
funnymahem Says the one who is cussing for no reason. I know it has flaws dude. I pointed that out in my previous comment, read someone's whole comment before commenting yourself. Also, only reason I'm getting "slightly peeved" is because he hasn't played the games. I agreed in my comment that the co-op isn't the best. When cousins of mine wanted to play with me, I refused for that reason and that reason alone. Not to mention apparently the controls sucked worse on the Xbox360 vs Ps2 because I had no real problems with any of the controls besides the camera. Sure it's not a flawless game, but in my experience and opinion it wasn't "shit". Sorry yours was so crap XD
Spyro 2's "improvements" are marginal at best. Overall it's a bit better than Spyro 1, a bit worse in others, but nowhere near the industrial revolution of the Spyro series the fandom makes it out to be. This is coming from someone who grew up only with this game. Don't even bother with Spyro 3, it's a tedious mess of fragmented level design and criminally unchallenging speedway levels.
to my list of Reasons why Spyro should keep His Free Flight Ability, like each Of Us were Admired and have had Strong Passion for Spyro at His Original Game Era as he was yes Spyro's Past games was AWESOME At The Time, yet to my experience of Spyro's past games True I loved Spyro and the gang yet I was bummed out Spyro was flightless I thought Dragons had The Ability To Fly sure Spyro Fly's in the speedway levels,But Why Not In Each level even the hub home worlds ?to me Glide just isn't fun as Fly isand besides the Free Flight AbilityHopefully Spyro's Dragon Home World get's Reinvented as a new feature in HD Year Of The Dragonso Spyro and The Gang can Visit the Dragon Hatchlings Thankfully The Baby Dragons will be even Colorful and have Adorable Designs in Spyro's HD Come Back
spyros primary fun is in platforming, i dont think free fly would be fun. I think coming up with gameplay mechanics which allow for launching spyro or giving him limited flight or increasing the flight mechanics when he is flying would make the game more interesting imo.
I have trouble understanding what you're trying to say. The reasoning behind Spyro not being able to fly at will, all the time is because he's a youngling.
Ray: I suck at games
also Ray: *One-times boss that was the bane of our childhoods*
me: *sniffles in inadequacy*
Trouble with the trolley, eh?
"Trouble with the Trolley, eh?" is this game's version of "All you had to do was follow the damn train, CJ!"
34:15 That skeleton dancing is the best part of the game for me.
"Trouble with the trolley, aye?"
A line that haunted my childhood dreams.
34:40 for Ray's reaction to the bone dance
>This stream was recorded on January 3rd, 2017
Took him long enough to put this up on UA-cam XD
Are you sure he didn't make a mistake?
Gabe Puratekuta That joke went straight over your head.
DIDNT DO DRAGON SHORES
Ray actually liking (or pretending to like) Moneybags somehow gives his entire playthrough a fresh feeling compared to others of this game.
Ray doing the trolley challenge is my spirit animal
That game brought back so many memories
It's a little bit annoying because Dragon Shores isn't the bonus room for 100% completion. The bonus room for 100% is IN Dragon Shores.
Trouble with the trolley, Ray?

The Legend Series sucks bro, I don't know what to tell ya.

I'm a grown ass man, I don't need to defend my potty mouth; And whose to say he hasn't played it? You're the one assuming shit.
But Marge.... The frame rate
Hi
Fuuuuuuuuuuuuk dude 5 hr.
Do you think he'll beat the third one in 10 hours, too?
Gabe Puratekuta knowing dis nigga ofc
I have no idea what you just said
worst ending to a videogame ever, and I love the spyro games

even if he wasn't a youngling, some things just aren't fun if you get it all, like god mode in gta, just makes the gameplay boring.
