"Escort quests are great when they're done well." Lists two examples. Both aren't escort quests, because the escort isn't a game challenge, they're purely beneficial and can't actually get hurt in any way. Kinda proves the point.
I always really liked Spyro 3 when I was a kid, having multiple characters was cool to me. That being said, I remember some of these characters handling better like Sgt. Byrd and whatnot lol.
I always had the same opinion on the games as him since the first time I played them on Playstation 2. 2 is my favorite, followed by 1, then 3 is my least favorite. I didnt really care for the story, the eggs to me were a very boring McGuffin, and like Ray said, all the extra characters and annoying mini games just really detracted from the game as a whole. Which is a shame, cause Year of The Dragon does have some solid levels in it, but not enough to compensate for the rest of the hot mess that it is in my opinion. At least it wasnt as bad as Enter the Dragonfly, but thats not setting a high bar. I also really missed the funn intro/exit cutscenes from Riptos Rage/Gateway to Glimmer that set the mood for the level. Avalar just felt like a newer place than the Forgotten Worlds did. Ripto was a more engaging villain, though Gulp and Crush could have had some more character (something the Reignited Trilogy improved on). Overall, the third game just felt too spread thin.
I've 100% 2 and 3 when reignited was announced and original has a few awful side orbs I'm not a fan of like yeti boxing or destroying the sand castles so other kids can plant bombs. But good is still good.
@@Sonicfalcon16 that is my point at the time the original came out it was good but ray never played that game so instead he is playing a remaster with no sense of what was good and what was fixed half the things he is complaining about are the good parts of the original they didn't change while he just sails by the annoying parts they fixed his other major complaint is the back tracking not realizing if you do it right you only have to back track for 1 level per hub. all his complaints can be attributed to the fact he never played the original so he doesn't realize how good the remaster is by comparison he noticed for 1 and 2 because he played the original 1 and 2 and thus noticed the changes that make them better but he doesnt have that knowledge for 3
@@SuperJackwilson He's also incredibly impatient and blasts right through instructions on what to do 90% of the time. Most of his frustrations can be avoided if he actually read what to do rather than just fast forwarding through dialogue.
Well he is comparing it to the other 2 remasters and to him it's the weakest one. It doesnt really matter if he played the original one or not. He's opinion would probably be the same since he isnt comparing it to the original game. In my opinion half the things they added to 3 aren't that great, the racing, skating, half the new companions. He shares the same complaints.

The world of Haiku
That is what Spooky Swamp is,
The World of Haiku
It's snowing on Mt. Fuji

The sound of a broken man.
Hunter: Now that was a 900!
Ray: think it was a 1080
Weird flex but ok
particularly cuz spyro can't do a 1080 since he would be landing backwards and crash
you get the feeling that the third Spyro is Ray's least favourite

seriously...he doesn't do the super bonus world?
imagine not doing the super bonus round after doing everything that unlocks it
I can't believe he just left his treasure and egg counters at some arbitrary random number. I know how legendary Ray's OCD completionism is.
*Spoiler*
Ray:"Have to jump down this ginormous hole. Guess I'll just do that"
Me: Oh this I remember >:D
to this day, im still pissed he never did the last level
its funny, i actually liked the skateboarding, probably my favorite part of the third game xD
although the race sucked ass
How we didn't get a "FRONT FLIP FOR STYLE" from Ray, doing the skateboarding, is beyond me
Where did you get that Steelers shirt did you steal it :D

Ray beats the shit out of Moneybags.

OG AKA Green Spyro
Was Sparx voiced by Matt Chapman? he sounds like The Cheat
i still want you to be my papa brownman
I'm like 2 3 1. All good games I just cant stand not having the hover
Total opposite. 1-3-2. 1 was simple, elegant, and didn't have enough extra crap to fuck up. 2 had the alchemist mission.
i think the only reason ray doesn't like the third game is because he never played the original

3 is my favorite because of all the stuff to do.

I wanna see Ray play through Zerowing now
17:33 bahahahaha
Every single Bentley mission is terrible. And then when you realise sgt byrd controls terribly, the addition of extra characters was a back step.
the next game on the ps2 was my favourite
hated 3 when i was younger
