It's great that you collect the flakes for use later on. You're very meticulous and a saver. Thanks for sharing your knowledge.😅
Beautiful work! Thank you!
Добрый день!подскажите пожалуйста,чем вы покрываете затем золото?
Nice work. Can I ask you what is the kind of clothe that you are using to rub the gold leaf as a burnishing step ?
Thank you. I polish the gold with special clothe from Noris (Kölner-Instacoll tissue for pressing and polishing).
Thank you Anna for sharing your experience!
Can you tell me please exactly how you prepared the layers behind the gold? You use shellac ( how many layers?) and then you spread one layer of...lac? What kind of? You are using a brush for this or you sprey it?
Thank you! I use one layer of shellac. Then I cover surface with 2-3 layers of lac (Tikkurilla Unica Super 90). I mix lac with white-spirit ~1:1. And I wait 24h between layers. I use the sintetic brush.
@@AnnaSviridetskaia perfect! Thank you!
Beautiful video, can you please state what is the two ingredients are you are using. One is the Oil Mixtion however not clear on the white S? Looks like you have mixed equal parts. If you could kindly confirm what hte product is and its proportions. thank you.
Hi! Thank you.
In first, I cover the place with a shellac. Then I put 2-3 layers of a lak. I wait about 24h between layers. After that I take the "oil mixtion 12h", mix it with Wite Spirit 1:1 and cover the surface. Then I eraise mixtion 3 times with with a period 10 min, wait 40 min and put a gold.
I didn't get what you said "then I eraise mixiton 3 times....." did you mean you apply 3 x ?@@AnnaSviridetskaia
By the way I like what you do....great works!
@@myrh502 I put the mixtion ones and than erase it 3 times with pauses 10 min.
erase with what?cloth? what kind?@@AnnaSviridetskaia
After applying the mixion and burnish with cloth and you finish painting the icon ...do you varnish together the finished gold and icon?? or you just varnish the painting? great work!! i would like to try your method. thank you
Thank you! I cover with olifa only the painting. I cover the gold with varnish before painting.
do you thing it is possible to sign my work whit gold or ordinary pencil
how i can do that
no glue
just varnish over maybe
I think you can write with the dissolved gold if you need 🤔 It depends of the surface for writing.
It’s beautiful but I wish I knew what you are doing. Are you working on glass? What are you using? Did you draw the picture?
Thank you! I gold the orthodox icon with varnish surface and the mixtion. I paint icons on the special wood.
Beautiful work! I subscribed!
You are amazing ❤️
Thank you! ☺️

Hello! I use Olimixtion 12h kölner, varnish Unica Super 90 (for preparing the surface), Noris transfer gold 1,25g.
Maybe I will show in the next video
Very beautiful. But if the gold is true ( not imitation ) does it need varnish ? Can it be varnished with shellac if it needs to be protected ?
The gold is true gold, so I cover it with vanish. I don’t like shellac, because it will be darker in the future.
@@AnnaSviridetskaia thank you
@@AnnaSviridetskaia what kind of varnish you use? Based on alcohol or?
@@hristinastojchevska5628 I use Tikkurilla Unica Super 90
@@AnnaSviridetskaia thanks, I cannot find that brand of lac in my country, probably I will find some lac for boats and wooden floors under another name
