I bought the Askar FRA300 Pro about two weeks ago. It's my first telescope and I only have had 1 good night so far for imaging. It was a bust because I have other new gear like the ASIAIR Plus and I had some technical issues using it with my Canon EOS R. This being my first telescope, it was very easy to focus, with a focus lock screw and they now include a Bahtinov mask with the telescope. Thank you for the review. I'm loving this scope.
Good to hear from you again.. Beautiful final image !! I noticed you have a spacer between your camera and filter wheel. Did you figure that spacing out or is it recommended by Askar? Most people have the camera right up to the filter wheel, then add spacers as needed in front of the wheel. Thanks. Keep looking up.
Thank you. I was experimenting with the spacer placement. Generally, you want the filter wheel as close to the camera as possible to prevent vignetting.
Well, I bought one! Coming from OPT. What is the backspacing from the scope to your ZWO camera? I do not have a filter wheel as I am using an 294 MC pro. Can't wait to get it! Awesome video! Clear skies!
Awesome! Wish I had one. I like my WO z61 but that FRA300 was a joy to use. Can’t remember the back spacing off hand but it’s easy to focus. Clear skies to you too as well bud.
This is definitely something I'll keep an eye on. I need to get a Star tracker and a new camera before I even start to look at telescopes. Thanks for making this review!
@@AVAstronomy When I look through it without an eyepiece Jupiter is laced like the outside skin of an orange (strange) I searched for diagonal and eyepiece but found nothing
Not exactly sure what your asking but, your results will be even better with any star tracker out there. I did however, do exactly what you describe. Move, shoot, move. Only I moved in small random directions to get a good dither.

What would u say is better, this or the WO z61 with a flattener?

What camera are you using? I don't think you mentioned. Could you please show the stars on the edges on your next video?
I used the 294 mono camera. Paired really nicely with the FRA300. 1x1 bin.
Nice unbiased review of the scope. Love your explanation of features. Keep it up 👍🏼
Thank you!

You’re welcome. This scope performed very well and is great for no hassle setup.
What do you have plugged into the sight slot on top? And I’m told you can’t view through this scope?
That’s the ASI AIR PLUS and yes you can view through the scope with a diagonal and eyepiece.

Would this work with a move shoot move tracker? I guess not...

So basically another Sharpstar with a different name. Nice. They are literally almost the same telescopes.
