One night after a nice family dinner, my grandfather, who hardly ever talks or says much to anyone, out of no where decided he wanted to show my whole family and I something on the TV. And without us knowing at all what it was he was going to show us, he pulled up this video and we all watched it together while he smiled and sang along to it lovingly. We were all in tears by the end of the video and were so shocked but happy he shared that moment and song with us. I made note of the band and song right away after that and saved it ever since. When I’m feeling sad or lonely from everything, I put this song on and think of my grandfathers smile while he sang this song. I love him so much. A man of very few words, but with the kind of few words that hold the most weight to my heart and soul. I am immensely thankful to this band’s song and my grandfather for being in my life. ✨

This band saved my life.
I started to listen to these songs after a UA-camr suggested this band and the first time I listened to this band I cried so hard for half an hour. Then I started to listen to more on the way to my secondary school (high school) and sometimes I would skip classes to just go to the toilet and just take a breather by listening to jr jr.
Before I discovered this band I was ready to commit suicide, I felt I had no one.
Although it hasn't cured my depression and anxiety attacks I am in a better place and mindset and am studying finance at University and an amazing fiance who understands and cares about me and my mental health.
One song changed my life...

omg omg, ok so a week ago I heard this song on my Spotify and really liked it but I forgot to like it or check it and didn't put it in any playlists and have never heard this band before. then, 2 days ago I start humming the tune to the whistling at the beginning of the song and I think to myself "oh that's from that song I heard on Spotify..." and I couldn't remember the name of the song or any other lyrics but the tune wouldn't get out of my head so naturally I made it my life's mission to find this song. I checked every song on my Spotify hoping I might've actually checked it but I didn't. Then, just to be sure, I went through every single song on my Spotify(which is at least 600 songs), one by one, and I still didn't find it. Then the next day came and it was still stuck in my head and I still couldn't remember anything besides the whistling tune at the beginning. I check my Spotify artists again to no avail. So now I get really frustrated but even more determined. I spent half an hour googling "indie song with whistling" and stuff like that. After listening to "young folks" about 145 times on various music forums I gave up googling it. So I went to one of those websites where you can tap the beat and it will give you the song. I tap the beat of the whistling in the beginning but it doesn't give me this song. After a couple more tries I move onto one of those sights where you hum the rhythm of the song. So I am sitting at a table in my house right next to family, looking like a dumb ass, humming into my laptop and the website couldn't find the song. Of course I try that a couple more times and of course it doesn't work. So now I am stuck. I have tried every way that I could possibly to find a song online without knowing the lyrics. I'm sitting in front of my laptop flustered, humming to myself. The whistling tune at the beginning of this song was eating me alive. Then... all of a sudden.. I start singing out of nowhere, "FINALLYYYYYYYYYYY I CAN SEE THE LIGHT" and I'm like OMG and I frantically type those lyrics into google and the first thing that comes up is "Gone- JR JR" and of course that was the song and I have just found it and this is my biggest accomplishment in life and easily the most relieving thing that I have ever done. It's like if I drank gallon of water and then held in my pee for 2 years straight and then suddenly just took an amazing piss the size of the Mississippi. So yea...
