I was at the Punk Rock Flea last Sunday and I saw your studio! The door was open when I passed and there was a bunch of wood laying around. (I wasn’t snooping, I promise!) but I’ve been waiting for a new video, guessing it was going to be a bigger project around woodworking! And I was right! Which if my math is right, you started, finished, edited, and released this entire video in a weeks time! Holy shit!

@@JJ-rp6fy mdf is medium density fiberboard, so it’s more like the fibers in paper that are glued together, not these big wood chips. It’s used a lot in furniture, like tables and speaker boxes.
Confused why people are so upset at them for using this table instead of a crappier one or building a frame themselves… Like I get wanting to preserve vintage looking things but not everybody has that same desire so please get over it
Because he built a whole other table on top of the first one… he didn’t need it in the first place

I really like seeing you creating all of this variety of different things ! It is really inspiring and it makes me want to finally tile a fourniture :) the result is so cool ! I’m thinking about doing only the top of a table, and maybe try to make it into kind of a mosaic? Could be fun

Ahahaha the commitment to using that heavy wood table as your base is epic 😂 I decided to re-work an ikea Kallax unit which thankfully was a light base for the heavy ass tiles & grout!

Idk man this seems sloppier than your normal work or video edits. The finished product wasn’t even cleaned up properly. It was cool but def not to your normal standard.

Did you have any issue with the tiles/grout cracking? Looking to tile a wooden table as well and I can’t figure out if I should use regular adhesive/grout as every thread I find talks about the wood expanding over time

Seeing this comment I was imagining a beautiful table in perfect shape that didn’t need any work done to it at all, then I see a perfect candidate table for this exact DIY, it was run down and getting a second life and it’ll be used for many more years, nothing wrong with reusing
Listen, reusing is perfectly fine. Experimenting and seeing what works and what doesn't work is what he does. It isn't perfect by any means but he at least tried
