awesome! Thank you for this. I came just for the underframe for the canvas, but now I see how I can build decorative frames too. I was already doing some work in a home that involved these steps independently, so I can definitely follow this tutorial.
This is an excellent tutorial. The best one I’ve seen on making a large frame. Thank you for posting it! Btw, your piece is beautiful. You’re definitely an artist!
This video was so wonderful to watch! It has inspired me to continue to pursue my dream of one day having an art space and equipment to make my own frames, and canvases. The picture is beautiful! Very impressive work. thank you for sharing your talent for creativity. 😊
Thanks for this! I’m actually using this to build a canvas right now :) Question on the exterior frames - why nails? Any thoughts on using screws instead?
All you need is a saw to cut and a power drill to connect them together. You can use a circular saw or a jig saw. Both are easy to handle for beginners. Check out tutorials before using the tools and be very careful when operating it.

Thank you! :) nail holes are easy to fill & finish than covering up screw heads.
Ah thanks! I haven’t had to fill and finish anything before so good to know
