These dogs are definitely a cowboy's best friend and work partner. More humane than shocking the cattle with electric prods

Holy moly that was a battle. Some gnarly cows for sure. Great dogs who never lost their nerve and knew they had a responsibility. Good example of working dogs. But, let’s be honest, Brute could do it alone with one paw tied behind his back and a tooth pick between his teeth 😉. Just kidding, but love seeing that dog work. 🇨🇦
At one point, I thought Brute may get the call. However, these dogs body of work was admirable. Well done. I appreciate your patience. When working cattle, their is never a time you need to be in a hurry.

Great job training your dogs, the part I like the best, is that you teach them not to bite the calves.

Out of curiosity: nothing against border collies, especially such good ones at that.
But, did you try another, stronger character breeds? A friend of mine uses his rottweilers for cattle in Germany. They are very good too, it seems cattle respect them more then borders....
I'm no expert for herding, but work with dogs for more than 30 years, IPO/ Schutzhund sport.

: Heelers don’t have any patience or the eye for this kind of work. Heelers want to always be moving and proving who is boss.

There's a right time and a wrong time to use your dog and a Time to help your dog no matter how tough he is
Your dogs actually hurt themselves when a cow them?
They were bred to be resilient and able to get off the ground and brush it off. I've seen one of their videos where a bull kept kicking a dog behind him
