My standard route for learning a new game is to read the rulebook and watch a video to supplement my understanding. Your video was great. It was direct and captured the main things that feel a little wonky in the rule book. (For example, I did not realize that Railroad cards all counted as "one railroad" for the purpose of pairing with towns, so it's not as easy as it might seem to gain those bonuses.
Mine is opposite. I watch a video and then keep the rulebook nearby or read parts of the rulebook of the rules I didn't fully understand from the video.
@@JestaThaRogue - I can see that if people are watching the video just to learn the game and are worried that watching turns might spoil strategies or something. I also believe that many people look for shorter videos, so a couple turns of recording could bump the runtime up enough to scare someone off. All that said, I believe there's a good number of people who seek out example turns to hell them visualize the game in motion. Whatever route you take will bring in someone and push Way someone else; keep going with whatever feels best for your channel. 😊
Playing this for the first time (w 2 players) and we have really struggled with the production instructions. Player one basically is stuck unable to utilize the price & production cards. We’ve ended up allowing for a production action turn where a player just collects based on their building bonus. But it still leaves the player with potentially unusable production cards. Should we be burning a production card even though we can’t pay the commodities? Curious as to how to solve this issue
Hi, in the production phase, you should just be taking 3 resources from the supply depending on the card you played. (Page 7) Spent resources go back to the supply so there is usually enough for players to take. Also, players can't have more than 10 resources at a time so in a 2-player game there should be 90 in the supply at least. (Page 9) Hope this helps
Hello, ive lost a piece of the advanced building tile, much appreciated if you could kindly answer if I could still play the game with one missing tile piece
Not sure if this is still a concern, but you can slow down the UA-cam video if a person's pacing is a bit too fast. Typically 0.75 speed makes it more manageable for people as it helps separate syllables a bit.

I think both of those, and then just seeing an example turn/round of play would be the best way to get an understanding.
I used to out an example turn in my how to plays but noticed most people stopped the video at that point.

Cheers dude. Helps showing the kids
Thanks Ross!
Definitely helped my friends and I understand the instructions better thank you so much!
Thanks Abigail!
Thanks for this helpful video! My kid is reading the directions and I watched this so we both have some knowledge before we try to play!
Thanks Jennifer. Hope you have a good time!
Ty for the help!
No problem!
Thanks for video! Too fast for me. Couldn’t just pick it up and play now.
Thanks! The video is not meant to replace the rulebook as mentioned in the video description.

@@JestaThaRogue thanks, the instructions made it seem like you had to do the blue section in order to receive the production

Hi. Yeah should be fine!
@@JestaThaRogue Thank you very much for your swift reply
Thanks
You’re welcome!
You look like an average board game enthusiast
Your mum doesn’t mind
@@JestaThaRogue haha you replied
I like to get in early and get as much engagement as possible, like your mum at an orgy

Appreciate that you made this video but struggling to understand you with your accent
Oh well. Maybe next time.
😅 What did they expect you to do about your accent? @@JestaThaRogue
Well, I my most recent videos I’ve tried to speak slower and more clearly but in my head I sound really stupid :(
I dont understand thumbs down.
You can simply google ‘what is thumbs down on UA-cam’ if you don’t understand thumbs down. Or maybe you don’t understand commas?
@@JestaThaRogue😂
Can you slow down a bit? Can’t understand all you say.
This is 3 years old and I have slowed a bit in more recent videos but can’t go slower than I do now.

Accent too thick and talking too fast for me to pick up some of the details.
Oh well.
I slowed the video down to .75 playback speed
Then jog on? Lots of people appreciate the OP's video
