This was a really insightful listen. I'm a competitive AoS player that's transitioning into 40k so it was super interesting to see the insight from the opposite of my background. One of the bigger thing I'm learning in the differences between both games being "a movement game" is that movement is significantly easier in AoS due to the lack of shooting. Art of War always harps on the point that if you don't have a lot of shooting in your list in 40k, your opponent can be disrespectful with their movements and get to freely move about the board. Starting to learn 40k has made me respect the movement phase so much more.

This was a great insight guys. I've been a competitive player of many games for years (primarily Magic where the competitive scene has collapsed) and have come back to Warhammer after several editions away, I've been playing 10th edition 40k and Horus Heresy 2.0 and have found both to be pretty bad games for strictly competitive play. I'm just about to jump into AoS with Sylvaneth and this has been a great eye opener with regard to the competitive differences in the GW systems. Please do let me know if you have any tips for Sylvaneth, I understand they're relatively complex.
