A few things I've figured out about my quiet time with God. Don't try to emulate someone else's schedule. Tips are great and it's always great to try something new as it could help you but in the end , do what works for you. I spend a few moments reading and reflecting on a verse and saying good morning to God with my coffee when I wake. I spend my devotional time with God at night before bed, half an hour to an hour of just God time. That's how I do it on work days. On my days off I dedicate hours of actual study to God. Finding the times that work for you are super important. God cares more about your effort than he does about how and when you get there. I also don't set goals, I set commitments. Goals tend to have time and place limitations where as a commitment is a steady progression without the expection of a timed completion. It's like deciding to drink tea instead of coffee and not limiting yourself to one kind of tea. This has been helpful to me. God wants us to be spending time exclusive to Him, and He smiles on every effort you make.
First off you are a really good communicator and you go through things with depth and detail which is really appreciated. I have the time to spend going deeper into His word than I've been utilizing. This was a great help and you also opened my eyes to go deeper, to be more intentional and treasure the time I've been given. New Subscriber, thank you!
I realized a quiet time is something I struggled with because I was not raised with faith based parents. I actually just didnt have the skill or knowledge of what to do. I have the passion and have tried devotions by others but have now realized I can go to God on my own and commune with him and hear from him. Thank you for sharing. This video has helped me in starting a routine which I pray will become a habit. God bless
Love your quite time routine…I’m praying when I retire next year I can put some of these practices in place. I love to be in the Word and some days it’s hard for me to do all I desire to do. This past couple weeks have been so chaotic for me…dealing with my husbands illness, a major trip we’re leaving on next Saturday…countless hours spent on the phone for these things…it has hindered my time with God and I’m feeling bad about it…hence me missing some of our ZOOM classes. Looking forward to some calmer days ahead for sure.
I enjoyed hearing how you spend your days, especially your quiet time. Like you, I'm in a season in which I have more time to spend with God. I'm learning to be more intentional with that time and your tips were very helpful. Thank you!
Hi Wendy!! New subscriber here! LOVE your content!! Ok you truly blessed me! When you mentioned about the notepad close by for "Brain dump"?!!!! GENUIS!!!!! Thank you!!!
For the past few days, I kept seeing your face pop in on my YT. Today, I felt it was no accident…. What I call a “God Stop”. So I stopped! I’m so thankful I did as you hit on so many of my concerns/prayers for my season of life. I immediately subscribed and liked and I can’t wait to review some of your other videos. Thank you for being obedient to God and sharing! I feel so encouraged this morning!🥰
What a sweet message!!! Thank you for stopping in to say hi! Be sure to check out my Facebook page (linked in description) where I offer classes, studies and ongoing scripture challenges! So glad you’re here!! ❤️❤️
Thank you so much for your time ❤. I was into reading the word but did not know if I was doing it right but after listening to your videos I will apply your hints. God bless you 🙏❤️
Thank you Wendy, you always point me in a direction that helps me grow in Christ. I love that you are practical and make it easy to set up a plan to move forward.
Yes Wendy this video has been uplifting for me we each have a different life to live my morning time I read and listen to reading through the Bible and I’ve started working on a Gospel Bible because it was free
I also love my quite time with God God bless you I have a world Bible school study edition Bible and a catholic life Bible can I write in them with a regular pencil or a pompom pen ❤
This is so helpful. I appreciate you sharing how you do your quiet time. I’m going to use these ideas in structuring mine which right now is kind of haphazard. Thank you for all that you do for us! ❤
I am fascinated at how you are able to remain so scheduled!!! I wasn't even that routine when I was working (although I was a clinical case manager, which is by nature a very varied job). I wish I could be more like you-but I really don't know if I could stand such high structure as having things so the same all the time (you'd probably answer the alternative seems chaotic:-) Great video!
Thank you so much! I’ve been struggling with this for a while now and your video popped up! I’m so happy I found you. Thank you for the work you do for Gods kingdom.❤ I have a random question for you if you do t mind? What do you take with you to be in the word while on vacation? Thanks
I know this is a trivial comment, but you look so lovely in this video! Thank you for sharing your routine. I’m looking to try to develop a routine for my time with the Lord and work on getting up earlier (I’m not naturally an early bird and am more of a night owl, but then I’m too mentally fatigued to really dive deep), find ways to incorporate “Jesus moments” throughout my day. Prayers of blessing for your ministry, Ms Wendy!
I’m glad your light went out because it was distracting me. It shines off your glasses and is very distracting. Maybe try to put it higher or lower than your glasses.
@@zormier2002 I certainly dislike the fact that it was distracting but I do hope the message was received the way it was intended to be. I need to use the light and it does help me to see as it’s a dark space. Thanks for watching!
My question is why has the church become so clickish. I miss being part of God's family. I read, use several devotionals daily..and listen to Christian radio. All keep me in God's word. and get me through my days, but I really miss Christian fellowship.
I do too. I have no friends, but I'd still LOVE to go back to church. Ever since I moved back home from another part of the province 10 years ago, I haven't been able to find one that's close enough to walk to (Yea, there's a Catholic one 2 minutes from me, but....) I don't drive and I can't walk an hour to church, but I do REALLY miss it (I do go on rare occasions when I go up to my parent's house to the church I grew up in, but that's not very often)
@@ilax4244 yes I have been out a long time too. Hopefully we both will find one but in the meantime I’m reading the Bible daily and doing Bible studies and on Sunday watching online church services.
@@KristaBrewer-rq7mo I was raised catholic but I am so disillusioned with the Catholic Church so I am looking for a non- denominational Christian church which are hard to find in my area.

I get it - it's not for everyone. I was not always a morning person. However... I literally CRAVE my time with Jesus. Somehow... even on the most tiring of days... I run to that quiet time with the Lord. It has become my non-negotiable time. If it did not begin with prioritzing that time, it would never have happened. :)

You are not “old fashion”. You are following Gods directives for a married female.
“If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved. As Scripture says, “Anyone who believes in him will never be put to shame.””
