For us fans that are (ahem)....,, "older", Doug Williams will always hold a special place in our hearts.... Thankfully, this new ownership understands how important Doug was/is to us.
Williams is the perfect example of the issue with qb's being with the right coach/system. He went from NFL TB 1st round pick, to USFL Arizona, to out of football, when Gibbs called him...
@@escaped1534 Yes, and Doug Williams was QB2 and was promoted to QB1 when Jay Schraeder separated his shoulder in the first game of that season. Fate stepped in, and the rest is history.
Actually, your season ends Saturday. Commanders don't have the talent and depth on Defense to make a long run into the playoffs. Baker carved up your defense, but two costly turnovers cost the Bucks the game.
What makes this upcoming game interesting is that both the Lions and Commanders are feeling the same way, they both are feeling it is their time. Their recent stories are similar, their journeys are similar. The Lions fans have been waiting over 3 generations, and are a year or two ahead of the Commanders in this comeback journey. I think this emotional ownership on both sides will make for a great game. The Commanders chance is that Goss is not mobile, and Daniels is mobile. The Lions Defense struggles against mobile QBs and we have a dual threat in the remarkable Jayden Daniels. This means, anything can happen, which is the beauty of football.
I truly believe just like every other fan that has made great comments about this amazing year, one that I will never forget in my lifetime. I am enjoying the ride.
Im not longer surprised by the things we do. New Orleans was like... "oh no. We about to lose on a 2."... on Sunday... when they botched that snap and we forced a FG... I was like.. "we bout to win this joint." The look on 17 face when the camera caught him on the sideline.... that look was how I was feeling. Not just confidence. Confidence means you feel strongly that they can win. I knew we were going to win and now I believe we can win this week.
I'm so glad Adam Peters didn't listen to the media when they was crying for Ben Johnson and Drake May. It's so hard to listen to you guys, when the fans are crying for losers. This win goes to Adam Peters! Great job Mr Peters!! Can't wait to see what you pull off next year. Powerhouse!!
Dan Quinn defended Ben Johnson well in Dallas. Some say it is best not to blitz Goff. The Blitz is something of a Goff Specialty. Good analysis top to bottom, John. Can we look forward to a book from you on this season?
The only thing that worries me is our pass coverage team doesn’t see the ball. They be in position but not adjusting to the ball. Has to be alert against Detroit. Raise Hell!
So the lions players have said ford field is more electric (the dudes from Alabama).. idk if they’re just hyping up their team or what but man i hope the offense can communicate well enough
Hopefully we don’t get crushed if so it will be because our defense at least try to stop Detroit from marching down the field with ease we can’t stop no one from getting down field our only hope will be to keep them off the field
As always: create turnovers on defense/don't give the ball away and limit the dumb penalties; try to frustrate Detroit on both sides of the ball, get them impatient enough and maybe a mistake happens.
I think this way every August. This year they just actually proved me correct 😂😂

I just posted a tribute to the great Doug Williams on my Page. He is up for the Pro Football Hall of Fame Class of 2025. I am rooting for him!

🎯 Doug Williams has history with this team. I'm glad Jayden took to Doug.
It’s our time “Now” , Believe this team will play the best game of the year. To place us one step closer to the Super Bowl.

What a ride!
Very intelligent and insightful!!
People talk about all this talent that the lions have but guess what, only one person at a time can carry the ball.

Don't get carried away. Because John was calling for Ben Johnson and Drake May.
On paper Detroit is the better team but the last time I checked the game is not played on paper. On any given Saturday/Sunday.
Our time!!!
They are the better team on the field too. Stats don't lie.
Don’t you dare stop repeating it. I forget every time. 😂😂😂

A lot of BS, not much substance.
