Thank you very very much! I unbricked my Nintendo Switch after 3 years or so after updating my nand backup with this guide to the latest firmware and it looks like it works now!
Absolute legend, my switch has been bricked for a few weeks now, tried a few different methods but due to it being on the latest software it never worked, have now managed to get it working with this method 10/10 would recommend as a true legend

When transferring files to "Registered", the progress bar just freezes at 5%. What could the issue be

at 5:41 if you are altering emummc where should BOOT0 and BOOT1 be placed? ( >restore>emummc or in >restore)
inside the restore, then emummc
Unfortunately its not the same for me. I want to fix emuMMC that is 10GB. And the eMMC ALL is not active. The function is in gray and cannot be pressed. For MMC the function is present, but not for SD emuMMC RAW partition ON.
the emummc should be in the raw partition. try using the older level1 guide

Thanks I was able to troubleshoot the switch I bought that was stuck on the second logo, now it launches but the wifi does not work, from what I found on the internet a problem on this wifi chip can brick the console on older firmware but not on recent ones, if I understood this tutorial I updated the console firmware by directly modifying the console files? Thanks again !

Do you have a specific guide for if my switch, following a hard freeze during a game on my emummc, now only boots to the Nintendo logo or to Atmosphere once I launch it using my Hekate injection as usual? I am given a black screen in both instances and not sure if your in brick guides cover this exact scenario. Thanks
you can try following the guide but it could be an issue with the modchip as well.

you did not do it properly OR it is caused by a bad game. try to rename the Nintendo 3DS folder to any name and try to boot your console again.
you need to delete the game via godmode9, it could be that your game is damaged.
Hello, could you tell me what method I could follow for an OLED switch that has a purple screen? When trying to restore the nand it reports "failed to init", it seems that it no longer communicates with the emunand? This console was used for a while in the dock, after which it presented this error and never returned.
you can do what I did in the video. but if the emmc is corrupted, you need to replace it and try to do the level 3 unbrick guide. if u have the backup nand, you can try to restore it

if you used a Picofly chip, please discard it and use either the instinct-nx or hwfly. Pico could damage the emmc and it is a known issue.

I have basically the same problem but i can restore the nand but then i get pkg2 read error. The backup is known to work, i made an emunand from it to test it. When i flash boot0,1 after the full gpp the partitions get wiped.
Do you think my eMMC is dead and needs to be replaced or i can fix it with instinct and maybe reflow?
@sthetix what according to you would be a better investment in terms of modding and future proofing , a hackable V1 switch now or switch 2 in 2025 on launch day
buy a hackable switch now, don't buy a v1, buy an oled. don't think about the switch 2, it won't get hacked soon
i have a question. once you unbrick your switch, do you still have the capability to play online or did you get console ban? (because im not sure)
you can, as long as your console is not banned previously and have the original prodinfo.
Hi, I need some help. I got stuck with the 2b error and hence I started out with this guide. My sysNand boots fine and it was the emu that was causing the 2b atmosphere panic.
What happened was as below:
1. The back up step did partial restore because of no space in the emuNand partition. I do not know if this is a problem but I am stating that for completeness. I moved out the bin files to pc and completed the backup. So now my backup folder has boo1 and boot1 and rawnand.bin.08 to rawnand.bin.14.
2. Completed all the other steps and at the restore step I got a file not found when I tried to restore boot0 and boot1. I moved these to the emummc folder instead of leaving it at the restore folder and that did the trick. But then restore ALL option was grayed out - I assume this is because of step 1 partial back up issue.
Now when I launch cfw I got stuck with pkg1/pkg2 mismatch, old hekate error.
Now I have no idea what to do. Do I go level 2 (even then wont step 1 still be an issue) and do all steps there for my emuNand partition. Should I do level 1 for sysNand to get its firmware up? If so how do I fix the emuNand not booting into cfw?
Also ny sysNand is stuck at 12.0.1 version, so I am not sure if that is an issue. Also I did extract the latest HATS onto my SD card and I do have a nand back up on my PC from when I did the CFW for the very first time.
Can you please help me out?
just make a new emummc from scratch. it is way easier

it depends on the SD card quality. make sure you use SD partition
i can't delete the registered files it tells me the disk is write protected
u did not disable the read only option inside hekate
7:45 disable read only in nxnandmanager default setting is enable

Bro Sthetix, my kid accidentalliy connected the switch to wifi and the console encountered keeps rebooting with an error code: 2123-0011 (0x167b). Will this method fix the error my console has? Thx

I have. I did your latest unbrick method. And it showed me this after restoring the backup, "You're eMMC is initialized in slower mode! This might mean hardware issues!"
This could be affected by the modchip itself. What modchip do you use? it doesnt mean the emmc chip is damaged but the modchip could sent a fake signal about it.

If I wanna play a legit game (bought new by myself) online but still wanna use some overclocking, will I be safe from a ban, if I play that game online on the SYSMMC (its clean there, no cheats and no pirated games at all) ?

Of course that is normal. I even posted the issue in the video and you need to ignore the size.
