As a gun nut this game tickled that part of my brain more than any other, 9x39 being intrinsicly armor piercing, the deagle having 9 rounds because its the .357 version and thats how much a .357 deagle mag holds, the guns whose real world counterparts come stock with rails have those rails stock in game. Its little realistic details like that, just make me love this game so much andnyou can tell the devs care about realisim and accuracy and know thats what their players want too
Fun fact , alot of these guns can be found for free in grey weapon boxes around areas of the map and they reset after each tide , also the Ak 47 can be found under a truck in factory by all the destroy buildings in the back of the map and comes with a rail and upgrades already on it tho it is almost broken when found , i found the 74 - 74u - groza - double barrel long and sawed off- 47 all free in these cases and they just needed a scrubbing or fixing

The AUG is pound for pound the best sec3 gun imo. It has good stats, good ergonomics, it's short and relatively light, and you can very easily bumrush the guaranteed stash drop for a super cheap acquisition (I usually grab it then run immediately into the fog to try and rng teleport to the pervomay exit). The short length means running suppressors indoors is a breeze, no hangups, and the sight height and short front grip makes it perfect for elbows-tucked VR shooting poses for good stability, the height is even good for me to get a... headset weld? where I can press my hand into the bottom of my headset for even more stability. the REAL kicker with the aug though, is the progressive trigger. (pull the trigger lightly for one shot, depress all the way to full-auto) Not only is the regular semi trigger super light and breezy to use bc of making space for the other mechanic, but removing that extra thought and action between semi and full auto is wonderful for split-second decision making and has saved my life more times than I can count. and the aug is also just peak 80s/90s polymer gun fashion. It's just pretty to look at.
Couldn't agree more - great video! I'm a Groza guy. Love the rugged aesthetic and proper wasteland survivalist feel to it. But the m14 is probably my new favourite. Line the enemies up and clear the map quickly 😏
I don't really like groza because of how it looks and overall it's meh for me, I'm sticking to AKM since it uses a good caliber so you basically don't need ap ammo that much when you use it, also Mosin on top

@@Leskovcanin Yeah but to be honest the Quest version of the game is piss easy. lower enemy spawn counts and stuff so there's no reason you should struggle at all on this game. As there isn't even enough enemies for you to run out of ammo. I set my tide to happen like everyday and never destroy rifts just to have enough enemies to enjoy my time in the radius.
I fucking love the VAL. I'm a weight junkie (I run a M9 with only one extra mag and a suppresser). It's so light and compact, yet saves me a ton of money whilst also 2 shotting most enemies. To top it all off it's an AK family rifle that looks amazing and fits the vibe of game so well.
The 9x39 ak variants (groza/val/vintorez) my top favorite guns irl but in games i tend to run normal aks due do the limiting mag size of 9x39 guns usually maxing at 20
Welcome back! Working with bullet drop is part of the fun! The best moments for me were when I landed long range shots with my iron-sighted glock. But I just can´t get around the classic awesomeness of a stock AKM. I'm happy that stat-wise it's viable too.

Don't take any soviet trash or, god forbid, something belgian (those guys make chocolate, expect the rifle to melt). Even entertaining the idea of using anything else is a direct insult to God who sent his second son to deliver us this holy design.
Well that would explain why I seem to always be under fire ever since I bought the M14. The gun is so damn satisfying to shoot, but I never considered how loud it might be. Still gonna keep using it though.
AKM user- I was looking for a guide for the assault rifles and it came just in time! I got to the farewell feast and was looking for a better alternative to the AKM! Thanks!
I really appreciate these videos, they’ve really influenced my first play through in helping to justify most of my purchases lol. At security level 4 and still going, can’t wait to see what’s next!
1:25: tips for making the most out of suppressors: 1. having like 2-3 honestly kinda reduces how much money you spend overall imo. might not be true but it feels that way. use em until theyre about half durability and swap it out and then repairing them is usually less than $500. its also just nice having a spare for those longer excursions. 2. taking the suppressor off when know you've already been spotted by almost everyone in the area already is good if you have a second because the suppressor is useless at that point anyways so you might as well go loud. also drawing out the few fragments or seekers that might not have been drawn to the gunfire otherwise is nice so they dont sneak up on you later. 3. this one is kinda obvious but using your guns in semi-auto and making the most of every bullet doesn't just save you ammo but it cuts down on wear and tear by alot. hit the range occasionally to keep up on your aim.
I never really agreed with the the suppressor thing. To me the most dangerous thing is a random enemy wandering upon me. When I have my gun up and am fighting is when I want every enemy in the area to show themselves. In this way I know everything behind me is cleared, and all close enemies are dead after I have a firefight in the area. It always surprises me how short the range is, IMHO, if their existed some megaphone capable of drawing in everything in render range, it would be one of the the best items in the game.
I'm glad to see you are back. It really made my morning to boot up the pc and open UA-cam to see this being recommended to me at the top. I've been waiting for this video for a while and It did not disappoint. Thank you for the video!
Wait you buy your guns! I just go to the factory and walk around a bit after the tide and I’m already heading home with a full bag and every gun storage is full even my hands
I jus got this in my feed again after about 2 years. Thank you for making this video, and i encourage you, if your still out there, to continue making banger videos.
They are all balanced pretty well. I preferred the M4, w/ a LAM, Holo, Light, & 4x Scope. I simply swap the scope/holo Im using at the time. Also took me forever to notice your off hand controls the accessories, tapping B flips lasers/lights on & off.
For aim stability, you can turn your own arm into a sort-of gun stock: Hold your left arm straight and push your right hand into your left elbow and do it only with virtual stock enabled
I completely agree with this, I'm a ak74m guy, got it because I wanted an ak type weapon to choose from my arsenal, then I souped it up with the grenade launcher, suppressor, and a sight, and it is great for now (still in the near end of my first playthrough) but I can't wait to get more that you mentioned in this list!
1:45 lmao I run the 74u with this exact sight. I've learned that you don't want the arrow on top of your target, you want your arrow to point at your target, so you aim ever so slightly lower than the reticle. That hits fairly consistently
Never realized that you could put sights on the rails on the barrel of the M4. Also, they need to add the m203 to the game, that works with the rails so we can put it on guns like the M4 or Scar H
In my personal opinion. Suppressors aren’t fun. I’d prefer to have one big fight rather than a bunch of small ones. A big fight is more thrilling and fun while a small one is essentially just firing a few rounds to kill a single enemy
I think it's also worth mentioning that you can just find a lot of these just out in the world, mags included. I found an akm and a bunch of 30 mags just out in the world. So your most likely gonna spend the cash on repairing/upgrading and attachments
I finished the game with an M4A1 and Dessert eagle. M4 is just an all around for me. Easy to grip. Lightweight, Accurate. Problem i have is the reliability. So i tend to use the Deagle inside the castle. Outside the castle, i use the M4 more.
I use a surpressed AK 74M with acog paired with OTs 33 surpressed for artifact hunting missions or night runs. Then I have my AKM with grenade launcher and cobra sight paired with an M9 for clean up ops and skits shit
I ended up using the sks til clearance lvl 5. I found it to be very effective at dealing with armoured targets just by using ap ammo. The SCAR (Which would be the H version considering the round) and the FAL are battle rifles. Also the SKS. The M14 could be considered a DMR or a battle rifle depending on how it’s set up. Some of these are even given their correct designation in game. Like the VSS description correctly using the Designated Marksman Rifle (DMR) title.
