    The part with John really melted my heart. I have been struggling with my mental health lately and my partner is the best part of my day and my biggest support.

    Loved this so much 🥰can relate to sooo much of what you said about OCD and EVERYTHING you said about the downsides of making fashion videos! Taking notes so we can vent on facetime 😂💞

    ocd is so deeply misunderstood, and that makes it understandably so hard to talk about. i have it and after many years of therapy i still struggle even talking about it to my therapist, so it's genuinely comforting to hear somebody else talk about it even a little. hopefully in time more of us will feel comfortable opening up and that'll help reduce society's stigma!

    I have OCD. I've been working with it on and off for almost 6 years. My husband has it (our triggers/obsessions are VERY different). And my young son shows signs too. I don't talk about my obsessions/compulsions with anyone except my t (and occasionally with my bff and hubby). It can be WAY too personal depending on your "trigger." Kudos to you for even acknowledging it publicly. It can take a LONG time to accept and work though (ERP is the best treatment)!

    I also have emetophobia and ocd and I know how hard it can be to keep pushing forward and getting yourself out of the house. Even if you choose to keep your experience/recovery more private moving forward you already raised a ton of awareness and helped people feel less alone. Best of luck in therapy, you got this!!

    I used to get migraines from knitting, so I have some tips! Every twenty minutes, look away at the wall for 20 seconds; pay attention to your shoulders and eye area, and if you have tension, relax those areas more; if you’re tense because of your speed, slow down and try to do it more “peacefully”; if you have the knitting pulled up to your face, try to do it down in your lap to be more relaxed… some of these things are easier said than done, but I hope it helps!

    A little tip for everyone who just started therapy: don't put a time expectation period for the healing part.
    Everyone is different and time varies from one person to another, if you need 3 years and someone else needs 3 months it doesn't make you "worse".
    And sending love to everyone who is going through it 💕

    03:58 that's so true. I'm diagnosed with depression and my psychiatrist told me I show some signs of borderline personality disorder, it's still not a diagnosis but just the fact that I might have bpd got me terrified, it's great that I can understand myself better but there's so much horrible comments on bpd that makes me feel like a monster

    • @madcat6159
      @madcat6159 3 роки тому +6

      I feel you, I've kind of had this unconfirmed diagnosis of BPD since 2018 and on one hand it was great that I finally knew what was going on with my feelings, on the other though what I read online pushed me into believing I was a bad person and blaming everything on myself. I'm much much better now though, I (slooowly) learned to trust those who are worth it and cut out toxic people, stopped doing impulsive mess... (kinda ironic that I got the diagnosis now but that's because I finally found a good psychiatrist - I mean there's still a lot to work on but I've no idea why I wasn't diagnosed when I was in a much worse state). The point is - learning about what causes our feelings and behaviour really helps and it gets better, no matter what some people may think. Some are misinformed by bad media representation, some have their own problems and take it out on others... don't let it get to you!

    As someone with OCD, I can’t watch a video on it because it’s too suggestible. So I can certainly understand why it would be hard to talk about. My daughter has mental health issues too. I’m so proud of her for getting therapy and medication and doing her best to deal with it. I admire you also. ❤️

    hi if you relate to being a HSP you should also look into autism. i was told i was a HSP but it turned out to be autism. relating to HSP doesn’t necessarily mean you have autism but it’s just something to look into. a HSP isn’t a diagnosis either.

    With personal style, not only is it what you like, but I think people forget that it can change over time. You may be obsessed with a certain style or type of clothing for a while and then decide you’re sick of it. That’s normal. It’s okay to evolve in fashion because you are evolving as a person too.

    • @lestranged
      @lestranged 3 роки тому +1

      @@alexasunshine83 I always thought you were like 5'9" or something. Your legs are just so long in proportion to your body maybe, and it makes you look even taller than your actual inches? Because I am 5'6" which I never thought of as tall, I think of it as average, but my proportions are a longer torso and shorter legs so I just get the regular length in jeans, not the long length.
