    Me and Slick Rick both have extended vans, the same size tires and similar interior builds. It bothers me a little bit that his van rides taller since he paid $1700 less then me for his lift kit lol. I eventually want to get 34s, add a leaf, add a sway bar for stability/control and Action Van front springs. Even 1-2 inches of extra lift will help. My back got caught up in Anza and I might of avoided getting caught if my van was just a tiny bit higher. That departure angle on these extended vans suck!

      You have different mirrors than Slick Rick. Put a 2x4 with a level on it across your roofs and see if his van is taller.

      I eyed the headlight too. I'm not crazy about Bronco coils being on my van so once I get my shocks changed out I will get the AV coils. I think Foxes are good for 50,000 miles so I'm getting close to needing to replace them.

      @@coolchange1970 I know I want 17 inch rims so I can go with a 285-75-17 tire and 1 inch taller tire. I think if my van was just 2 inches taller that obstacle wouldn't of got me. My extended length departure angle got hung up!

      I get a lot of comments and messages asking about lifting your van and I want to give the best advice. No one has really addressed safety and potential insurance problems so I want to bring that up and let people know not to remove safety equipment. If you get into a accident with no sway bar an insurance adjuster can say you lost control because you took the sway bar off and might not cover you.

      That's on the wish list too! Hopefully I start this job next week! My van will be extra sick come November. I might even get King shocks.

      If you get into an accident your insurance adjuster might spot the lack off sway bar and say you lost control of your vehicle because you have no sway bar and they can deny coverage.

    Sway bar is only good for on-road use, for off-road use sway bar is unneeded

    • @JohnDrivesAnything
      @JohnDrivesAnything  3 місяці тому

      I recommend keeping a sway bar on normal roads because if you get into an accident and your insurance adjuster notices you have no sway bar they can blame you and say you lost control of your van because you have no sway bar. The van at 2:18 has a sway bar. The only guy that I've seen takes advantage of not having it is the guy jumping his van.

      Brook got it for me for Christmas it was on my Amazon wish list. Been slacking off on installing it because pretty much everyone in the review says you have to remove the bumper to install it.
