Thanks dude! Especially for the "leave the screws out" recommendation. This is the second time I've had to do this now and I had to look it up again.
Oh my lord. I'd have thrown this thing out the window by now, with the screws left in.
Thank you for this "Easy to Follow" video.
Welcome. Hope it was OK to follow.
Just bought P1S/combo and so far it has been great. I'm sure down the road I'll run into this problem. Thanks for sharing your knowledge.
It's not IF, it's WHEN
Great video. I’ve got ample experience with the AMS. lol. Thanks for your time!
Oh yes. AMS surgery is part of our festive lives! Lol
Very well explained and demonstrated. Thanks!
Thank you friend.
Great video. Well explained. Thanks!
Thanks!
Great video as always, so have they modified the AMS design since this model? You mentioned this was the OG version. Or were referring to the ‘AMS’ lite for the A1’s?
It's had minor adjustments, but, mostly the same. OG due to the AMS Lite, which is also a bizzare-sauce design. But, between the 2, this one, all day.
Definitely is frustrating, ran into a problem where all of my filaments (Esun pla+ and bambu lab pla basic) were in a state that would always snap.
I tried drying it for hours in a filament drier and refilled all my silica gel, kept humidity down to under 10%. And it snapped like crazy in the AMS.
I basically ragequit 3d printing for a month or two. Let my filaments just sit there aging in air (not vacuum stored).
Tried printing again one day, renewed determination to figure out wtf is going on, humidity up above 25% I started a test print and it printed flawlessly. Then another and another, and it's been solid ever since. Im absolutely dumbfounded. I have no idea why it worked, but it worked, it was the same filament, it had the same setup, just left it 2 months, and it's back to printing flawlessly 😂
Filament that's absorbed moisture becomes brittle and snaps. When that happens, It's a nightmare on the AMS. But, it shouldn't be happening all the time. Rage Quitting is a day in the life of 3D Printing. Lol. Welcome back.
Well done, I ran I to a new ams problem, my exiting bodin will not hold, I've cut bodin, replaced bodin again and again only to have it come apart when reinstalled. Not.looking forward to replacing the compress release fitting
Weird. That blows.
@@3DRundown having a carnival of errors, corrected bodin issue(flared hose end bigger with needle nose)
May the odds be ever in your favor.... is OK now? Elaborate on the cause and fixes for us!
@3DRundown Issue #1 bodin not holding in ams discharge- flared out tube with needle nose Flyers by jamming them into bodin end
#2-blocked nozzle/cutter sensor malfunction - found tiny shaved peice of filament in cutter sensor in toolhead, removed then cleaned cutter sensor contact(magnet in sensor) cutter sensor was a repeated failure/blockage . Forgot to write down failure code
@@3DRundown I was the little ginger kid whacked 10 seconds in. Haha
What causes filaments to crack?
Bring "wet", from Absorbing Moisture/Humidity. Put it in a Filament Dryer for a few hours
@@3DRundown This also applies to pla, or only abs or petg?
Especially PLA.
Bad ass thanks
