Raskin, Porter, Whitehouse, and Sanders are just the first names that pop into my head of pols I would love to see/hear David interview.
Sanders just had a GREAT interview with Bryan Tyler Cohen it’s like over 20 minutes. You can watch the whole thing free on his channel it’s really good stuff. David is on his way but Bryan has a slightly bigger platform. And as much as I completely agree with David on everything political, he’s often a little bit smug, even when taking questions from people who are on the side of sanity. I mean, maybe I can’t blame him, he’s smarter than I am. Maybe I would act the same way. But sometimes he is a little offputting, almost insulting to those who are on the same side as him. Unnecessarily calling them out for syntax or grammar. I love his politics but to be honest he seems like the kind of guy who stares at you and taps his watch waiting for you to finish with a piece of gym equipment. “Ugh you’re taking so long I have things to do I’m important”. No. I will be here for 4 minutes. Wait your turn and leave me alone.
He drops the smug when he interviews real politicians but with everyone else he’s pretty much as smarmy and smug as Bill Maher and I hate that.
I would love to hear an interview with Jared Moskowitz or Mikie Sherrill or Senator Sheldon Whitehouse.

I thoroughly enjoy Swalwell and Raskin. Moskowitz is always good too! I’m surprised to hear that these interviews aren’t popular.
I may or may not have quite the little crush on Jamie Raskin (I know he's married but s girl can dream).
Anyway ,I live in Baltimore, Maryland and I'm proud to have him represent us in Senate. I doubt that's something that the people who voted for MTG, Lauren Boebert, and...hmmm, IDK, let's say good old Ted Cruz, about their representatives.
He's not a senator and sadly he doesn't represent you, he represents my district, Maryland's 8th, which is Montgomery County, just northeast of the DC line. Also, from here to Baltimore is a pretty long drive, so it's probably all for the best that he's happily married.
I live in Baltimore co and Jamie Ratkins is the worst hack of a rep!

I like Jamie Raskin too. No politician is perfect and no politician should be put on a pedestal, you’ll inevitably find something disappointing. I am glad to see he is doing better since going through cancer and the loss of his son. I wish we had someone anything close to him in my very red state where almost the entire legislature is red, state senators are red, congressman are red and our governor is red and a billionaire 😒
I visited Baltimore a couple years ago for an event. Really enjoyed it! I know I was only there as a visitor and I know there’s more to Baltimore than the area I was in, but I do miss the area I visited. I was only there for an event so I could do as much as if I was there as a tourist. But it was lovely ☺️
I appreciate all of the interviews but that makes so much sense! I've heard this from Jesse Dolomore, also. Keep doing what you do, David Pac-man (I can ONLY hear your name as Howard Stern pronounces it lol)
I can’t think of a single rep or senator, current or former, that I’d care to listen to David interview. Except of course certain maga reps for comedic value.
You can't be trying very hard. There are some good ones out there. Raskin, for one, is a beauty.

I found these interviews with congress people really informative. Boring? Yes, a bit; but it’s because they are doing their jobs and not doing vile performative theater like repugnant Marge!
David - I tune out politicians giving speeches, or giving fluff interviews. If the interviewer is intelligent and not trying to hide their personal agenda, interviews of politicians can be very informative. When Jamie Raskin starts talking American Constitution, I'm all ears. Sad that you have decided the gain is not worth the pain to schedule these types of interviews. I grew up outside of Detroit. We had three powerful media people, JP McCarthy, Bill Bonds and Bob Talbert that could and did call any local or state politician if and when they wanted to, either side of the aisle. Their personal political bias was well known, but the interviews were always considerate and VERY informative. By the way, every major corporate leader in the state were on their call list also. I miss that. Please reconsider providing us with those kinds interviews.
Interviews with members of Congress would probably be more interesting if they could just not speak like politicians for 15 minutes. I think that's where Raskin stands out, along with a few others. He's willing to take off the politician hat and answer questions like a legal/constitutional scholar.

The problem is f'k'n'n YT algorithm itself.
I have the same problem, but it can be any channel, any time, totally random.
I can get a notification or not get one or get one, but well AFTER the video is over.
It can be very annoying sometimes, because there are some events coming up where I click "Notify me". Sometimes, I get the notification at the right time, or as above, not at all or well after the event.
It's been like this for a very long time.

I have a trick that I do to be able to see that immediately, but still be able to see the original comment that is "ghosted" but visible.
I can copy the text, delete the comment (even though it's not there) and then repost it, removing or misspelling (on purpose) selected words to get by the bitchy algo! LOL
I really can't go into details of how I do this, for obvious reasons. 😜

I'd enjoy an interview with Whitehouse as well, I like the way he thinks about our broken Supreme Court. The number 9 is not mentioned in the Constitution's make up of the court.
While there are definitely some exceptions, I feel the people who do watch interviews with politicians, it’s because they are also probably law nerds who are interested in policy and politics. Nothing wrong with being a law nerd. I’m a bit of a law nerd myself and sometimes watch law-tube. It’s all good 💜
Basically it only appeals to a certain demographic.

I'm a website member but only watch clips of the show on the UA-cam app on one of my smart tvs. I'd like to catch the critically acclaimed Bonus Show but rarely log into the website. Too bad members couldn't register their youtube account name on the members site and then the Bonus Show would appear with other videos on the YT app.
My guess is that most of them have no idea who you are so why bother.

What about rep porter?
While at times interviews with politicians can be revelatory, if one has an interest in politics and spends time following policy, politicians are usually predictable talking point machines.
Because both sides suck and hate their constituents.
TL;DR: He lacks the clout.
Haven’t seen this yet, but I’d guess because you don’t want people to see how much you agree with the corporate congressman.

Understandable… most of the congress and senate folk aren’t effective enough to warrant interviewing. But… there are definitely some that are really worth listening too. Raskin, obviously… (and Newsom… though a DC polly) …. gotta love AOC… obviously i lean left , but there are also republicans that are influential enough to warrant a discussion with… ah… just kidding
