I visited Hunan during the Chinese national holoday at the start of October. We went to the mountain region of Zhangjiajie and the ancient Chinese city of Fenghuang. Did you see either of these places during your time in Hunan?
why not go to some really beautiful touristy places I know you want to avoid it but like Zhangjiajie National Forest Park in Hunan province it has really really beautiful natural landscape scenery James Cameron use this place as inspiration in his movie Avatar
HaHa - I had to chuckle at the end - when you went over to get your photo with the car (and girl) When Tingting and I would pass a nice sports car, I always would have to take her photo with the car...good fun
By the way Winston, the restaurant with the hornets looked pretty expensive, do you go for finer places because you can or because of shitty food in the poorer ones?
Compare to Guangdong, Hunan seems preserves more natural beauties. How's the hornet dish? What make you guys decided to try that dish? I don't think many people will enjoy that dish, except for eddy I guess. :-D
