@@luc0007 For real. the guy does a lot of good stuff- Farm Aid in the US, and used to (don't know if he still does) a LOT of charity concerts... but the guy is weird. At one point in his career, he'd either play acoustic sets, or all-out electric ones- VERY different styles- and you had no idea which one you were getting until you arrived.

Something stuck out to me about the Neil Young segment so I went to look up the setlist as I saw him two weeks ago here in Huntsville, AL. Only two songs Neil played on the 20th were post 1990, with only four of them being post 70s.
EDIT: I would like to add that not being happy with the show is totally valid. Having the screens be off and thus not being able to see the show is ridiculous at best. Neil can be a little too Neil just like Roger Waters can be a little too Roger Waters.

When I saw Noel Gallagher at Budweiser Stage in 2019, I liked that he did 4 Oasis songs at the end of his set. Everyone knew it was coming and stood up for those songs lol.
This episode has made me realize why I love these guys. They each in their own way represent a part of my personality.
Vampire Blues is from "On the Beach", a fantastic album Neil released in 1974.
Edit: However, Jessie said it best. No one bought that concert ticket to listen to the deep cuts or the new stuff.

But Cortez the Killer is a very well known song, off the classic 1975 album, Zuma. You were lucky to see it, imo.
Neil Young is ornery and cranky and he has put on some horrible shows. But this setlist wasn't one of those. He literally didn't play any of his newer not so great songs. The new album Adam is talking about is a live album. Lol

I usually listen to the SDPN but the moment I heard that Adam was mimicking Shanny's face I had to tune in and my god. Beautiful. Adam looks like a King Toad and he ahs perfected the dad soft smile. Do it often.

stars are far deeper on offense, defense, and in goal. oilers have 97 and 29. slow them down, and dallas wins.
Edmonton will outscore Dallas all day. All depends if Skinner shows up or not.

When i saw neil young a few years ago it was like 3 songs and then a huge noise rock jam where neil punched a hole in the backdrop and started messing with the amp settings to feedback his guitar like crazy it was awesome

As a casual neil young fan i looked up what he played after he played close and kinda wish I went. Only got to see him when farm aid was in my town. Hopefully adams relatives get him ariana grande tickets next Christmas
If the Hurricanes decide to do something about Kotkaniemi, he's much more likely to be bought out than traded. Since he's young and there's a lot of years left on the contract, the cap hit per year is quite reasonable if they decide to do that.

Agree with Adam on Neil Young except Vampire Blues is an awesome song. It's not new, it's from the 1974 album On the Beach. It's one of his best albums.

I'm fully on board with what Adam was saying about Neil Young, and I'm not disputing the core argument. But Cortez the Killer is an amazing song. I would be thrilled if I went to see him and they opened with that.
I have the exact same experience that Adam had with Neil Young but with The Tragically Hip. It was the last concert at Ivor Wynn Stadium in Hamilton and I grew up loving The Tragically Hip so when I got a ticket I was so happy but when I got there they played all of their new stuff and only played a couple of their old songs (they also didn't sound very good lol). I ended up leaving about 45 minutes into the show. Love the shop btw!!
I saw Petty's last concert in Toronto. Gotta go if you get the chance.

2013-2014 was the kings rangers final, bruins won the presidents trophy that year. 2014-15 Rangers won the presidents trophy but lost to the Lightning in the conference final, Adam was right.
Also Kyle Clifford wasn’t just on the ice for the cup winning goal in 2014, he got the secondary assist as part of the 3 on 2 rush that ended the game
I was almost as excited to see Connor Brown on a break away as I was to see Connor Dewar on a break away in Toronto's Game 7. Which is to say, I wasn't. As far as Skinner goes for the upcoming series, all I have to say is, more often than not Skinner made all of the saves I expected him to make. He may not steal you a game but he won't likely cost you a game either.
The Rangers are a sneaky good team. If you watch game 6 between them and Carolina, NY for about 5 minutes in the third stopped pressuring and hitting Carolina and it caused Carolina to hold on to the puck longer and then suddenly, they pounced all over Carolina causing so many turnovers. It was brilliant.

The Oilers didn't play exceptional defence, are we watching the same game? the canucks just SUCKED, missed the net on every shot and kept giving the puck away. Also, Petey was absolutely awful, he should be getting the Marner treatment. 5 points in 13 games is a disaster.

Playoff teams can still make trades. The trade deadline means after this time the player can't play in any regular season or playoff games (which is why you just don't see playoff teams making moves).

To us Canes fans, the quote from Necas' dad is maybe a little surprising to hear so bluntly, but realistically its just about exactly what the rest of us thought.
His skillset isnt utilized very well here, which would factor into both sides wanting to move on. Hes going to get a pretty good raise, as he's of course a great player, but with all the canes players who need to be resigned, seems like there's a will for both sides to be interested in moving his RFA rights.
Also the easy answer for KK is a buyout. Hes still young enough for the 1/3 buyout, and spread over 12 years its 830k for most of the years, and only 450k for year 4, 5, and 6 of the buyout.
Before watching a single second, I hope to see them talk about the AI Sheldon keefe clip. My boss , who doesn’t follow hockey at all, fell for it and brought it up in the office like it was real. I’m glad that in previous episodes the guys talked about it because I knew that it was a thing that people made AI about.

Ismo Lehkonen (the father of Artturi Lehkonen) is a former coach and current studio expert commentator on finnish tv. He was on the finnish nhl broadcast during colorado cup run when his son won the stanley cup. The reason he doesn't coach anymore is because he is too old school.
Vasy in 2022 only allowed 3 goals in 4 games against Florida. They won’t see goaltending of that level again
My concert missed mark story is from a tour of Lindsay Sterling and Evanescence, or more accurately, the band Amy Lee calls Evanescence; the only member left of original band from 2000 is just Amy, the vocalist. She is an amazing vocalist in her own right, but its not the same band.
Lindsay came out first, did her set, and even the people who were just there for Evanescence were vibing to Lindsay's performance, including a massive ovation for Amy Lee coming out to do vocals for Shatter Me.
Evanescence came out, they got their cheer, and immediately started new songs, and the crowd just DIED. The only times the crowd really got into the songs were when Amy went over to the piano and CRUSHED My Immortal, and when they played Wake Me Up.

As a Wild fan I see a lot of similarities between them and the leafs. I know of the Minnesota sports fan curse all too well even though I only follow the Wild. It’s pretty funny but also super satisfying that we reverse swept you guys
If the band/artist has released a new album, I expect a 50-50 split of new to old music.
I would never expect a band to play just their hits, unless it is promoted as such, just as I wouldn’t expect them to play a live version of the new album (unless it is promoted as such)
Question for Steve or anybody on that panel, what is the best way for somebody who hasn’t played hockey in his life to start working for the leafs. Could you do it without spending the money on college? I have a very niche obsession with player scouting and I want to turn that into a job somehow, I just don’t know how.
