I want to say thank you very much for the video ,one of the best info video I had found on this controller . The way you walked through each step of the wiring was perfect others should take notice and see how a wiring tutorial video is done . Great job

24:30 I am requesting some help, I saw you wire up a DDCS for CNC machine, for the End stops, could you let me know, where the other ends for the Yellow signal wire are hooked up to?

Hello, I have a question regarding tying the 2 power supply negative outputs together. I understand your point regarding not having a floating potential between them, but the GND and the COM- are electrically isolated (optical according to the manf) I checked it with an ohm meter and this is truly the case. So won’t connecting the PS negatives together defeat this isolation and leave room for some potential damage or other malfunction? Did you fully operate the controller like this without any problems. Thanks, and a great video, very informative as I’m assembling one now.

@@josephcoling8941 for the power supply line inputs the ground (earth) are tied to the same point and the neutrals and lines are fed from the same points, but not daisy chained. For the outputs I did not tie them together due to the opto isolation on the connection PCR. All works fine.

Hi. To understand well, in your example the two power supply are both 24 volts ?

      I'm running a 36 and a 24. Two 24s will work the same tho.

@@IllDoItMyself Thanks a lot for your quick reply. But at this point i have a doubt. With the connections you are showing in the video you are feeding the controller board with both 24v and 36v at the same time. Is this ok ? Checking the controller guide they should be 24v both. Sorry but i'm not an expert in electricity 🙂

    • @IllDoItMyself
      @IllDoItMyself  2 роки тому +1

Thats correct they both are connected to the controller. The controller takes power from the 24v pins. The other is used tor com+ and com-.

@@IllDoItMyself Hi Josh, I am also not sure about the 36v psu going to the controller? YuYong sent me two 24v psu's. One of them powers the controller and the other provides 24v for the I/O interfaces. They also sent me two 36v PSU's and they are used to power the stepper drivers. 36v on the controller I/O may work but not sure about that and 24v is the most common way to go when interfacing to relays etc for water pump or dust extraction.

Thanks for the video. I was looking into building this machine but the shipping costs are quite high to ship to the United States. I was wondering if it would be cheaper to source all the materials locally. What are your thoughts?

A question for you, what stepper motor drivers are you using in the video? I am using TB6600's and cannot find one with ALARM positive or negative. I have followed your builds from the very first one, love your content!

@@coreybush2468 I talked to the company and they said the "Best is Offline DDCSV4.1 or MK4 mach3 controller" I still haven't decided but there are a lot of 3rd party controllers that are good. I think the mach3 is buggy if i remember correctly. I still haven't ordered.

    HELLO GUYS.
How to connect y axes. I have 2 motors there. If I use one driver for the both motor I will need a driver with " double " current. For example for nema 23 with 4.2 A I will need a driver that is used in big motors like nema 42. The price is about US$ 150
    I watched some Russian videos.
People there use synchronization board which allows to use one driver of every motor.
And I see sync board looks like more reliable. It's US $ 36 but I can't buy from Russia. I don't know where to buy.
    Can you help. ANY IDEAS.

Концы кабелей драйверов моторов по оси Y, которые будут присоединяются к контроллеру, просто соедини как один каждого цвета и присоедини в соответствующие клеммы для оси Y. Дело сделано! В данном видео это так же показано;-)

Sure but that's not really playing into it any more than an android phone is also based on Linux. You do not require and Linux/Unix knowledge to use this.

hi John. I follow your videos on UA-cam and thank you for sharing them. I had a question about the ec300 controller. Is its wiring different from uc300? I want to use the ec300 controller for jobs that have very long G-codes. Is this controller suitable for bulky work or not? Sorry that my questions are long. Thank
