I owned one and i think it was the best light weight comfortable phone ever had❤
I remember thinking this phone was the pinnacle of technology

But at that time it was indeed
Lg v60 is the last phone i need til headphone jacks and removable batteries come back 😂

I skipped the 5 but had the nexus 6. I STILL use it nearly daily for podcasts and YT. I've replaced the battery once. Still works with my Google Fi data sim and google voice, too!
It also had wireless charging and it was magnetic so it was a primitive version of MagSafe.
I got the Nexus 5 with orange back cover, it is so vibrant it seems to always catch anyone's attention 😂
Sadly, Nexus line is the last Google phone to be sold officially in Indonesia as the Pixel did not come officially 😢

i had one and it succumbed to a never ending bootloop 😢
I've never owned one personally but I think it was the the best in the Nexus lineup because of the glowing reception it had when it was released.

It's weird that when I had my Nexus 5, I always take photos that are really good looking. I mean at first I thought it was because of the display.... but I still have those photos now. And they still look nice.
From Google, it has to be the most amazing android experience yet. So buttery smooth. KitKat days...
The Nexus 5 was my first smartphone so I have a sentimental attachment.
I still use it as a music streamer at the gym. I carried it and took lots of photos on my successful Appalachian Trail thru hike in 2018. It's in a durable hard case, so the black coating is still in great shape. I replaced the battery a couple of times and the display once. It's running LineageOS 18.1 (Android 11) unofficial support, still getting updates.
My daily driver is a OnePlus 8 Pro running LineageOS 21 (Android 14), but I still love my Nexus 5!

Had one. Speaker and Battery were very dissapointing, 3-4h SOT at best. Camera wasn't too bad though.
But it was probably the best phone to play around with mods and roms, also the UI was smooth af until the android 7 days when performance started to suffer.
Also I just loved the soft touch coating, you could just use the phone without a case, it was very grippy in the hand. I used it till mid 2017 and it didn't suffer rubber reversion, and still in my drawer the finish looks fine.
One of the phones when android was still exciting. It wasn't perfect at all, but probably my favourite phone until now. I am getting quite bored how perfectly normal my current oneplus 6 just works.

I had one. Left my damn LG G2 at a movie theater, needed a new phone, bought a new in box Nexus 5 off some dude on Craigslist.
It ran well and the camera wasn’t so bad, but the battery life was utter trash. Worst battery life of any phone I’ve ever owned.
I have a Nexus 5 that will be celebrating its 10th birthday on the 24th. It's a black one, and it indeed has suffered rubber reversion, so I took some isopropyl alcohol to it and took off the rubber layer, leaving behind a shiny plastic surface. Doesn't look awful.
The Nexus 5 was my first proper Android phone experience (my dumb 11-year-old ass lost an LG Optimus Chat on a ski lift on the local mountain after one month), and marked a 10-year Android phone streak that I only broke in September. It was a wonderful phone; a blank slate on which even my young, not-too-tech-inclined self could sink my teeth into and make my own... At least within the paltry 12 GB I was allotted as mine was a carrier special.
I'm currently locked out of it as I can't remember its pattern unlock and I can't figure out how to boot into a recovery menu for a factory reset. If anyone has any suggestions, I'd appreciate it!
Update: Just figured it out and I'm back in!
My first smartphone & I loved it!
It's now leading a retired life in my desk drawer as the battery is gone & so is LG, which used to service it in India.

Till it decided to get reaaally hot during charging and to form bubbles, originating from the battery. Also the battery life got down from 100% to 3% within 3 hours of doing nothing with the phone 😢
Also remember that Google Nexus phones were made by various other Android phone manufacturers every year. So every manufacturer has their own Nexus phone.
Wish I still had mine. Best phone I've owned. Period.
I own the Nexus 6p. Very beautiful phone. Nice camera, nice display and great battery life. And let's not forget those speakers. Good times!

Terrible camera ? I just loved the camera and display. Such a compact and beautiful looking phone.

I had nexus 5X, what a great phone with excellent camera
I rooted mine and ran a lightweight rom. It was android 5 but without Google's backend stuff. With that rom and that old 2300mah battery....I got 5 1/2 hours sot, versus the 3 hours I got without root.
I owned a Galaxy nexus aka Nexus 3 and I still have it..

My favourite phone to date! It had its shortcomings but was amazing nonetheless. Was still being used as an at home lightweight UA-cam machine until it finally died earlier this year. 9 years of Nexus bliss!

I owned a Nexus 5X, but had three huge problems with it: small storage, only 2GB of ram and terrible battery life. It also got quite warm and there was the infamous bootloop issue as well. Otherwise, an amazing phone. Great display, solid performance (sans the ram), great camera, good build quality and to this day the best notification LED placement (under the front-facing speaker grill which made it look like a disco ball, I loved it). Fingerprint reader was fast and accurate (only used a similarly reliable and fast one on a Meizu phone).

The original pixel xD I liked how they kept rotating manufacturers every android release making nexus as a reference phone with al lthe highlights of the new android version! I was upset we never got the rumored xiaomi nexus because google just discontinued the line when it was supposed to release...

I had Lg nexus 5 until 2020 until i performed bend test on it and it broke nexus 5 was way better than s4 because it gave way smoother ui experience compared to laggy samsung s4
