quick info : Wakizashi and Katana are two different type of swords. Both are worn by samurai but have different use. Wakizashi also worn by Ninjas due to its smaller size.
A few clarification from a nerdge: -Katana: A standard long and curved single-edged blade. (~60-80 cm/23.62-31.5 in/ 2-3 Shaku) -Tachi: A longer and curvier Katana. Primarily used as a sidearm on the battlefield. While Katanas are used as a status symbol, and for self defense and dueling. -Wakizashi: A medium length katana, basically. (1-2 shaku) -Daisho: A pair of Katana and Wakizashi worn together. -Tanto: Usually a dagger, but the Tanto is this game are bigger. -Odachi/Nodachi: A really really long Katana, as long as a polearm. Usually used for mounted combat. -Chokuto: A straight sword, usually the same length as a Katana. Primarily used for stabbing. (Most well known Chokuto is Sasuke's Grass cutter) -Ninjato: A shorter Chokuto, easier to draw from the back. It's more of a tool because it was built to be multifunctional. -Dao: A Chinese blade that are similar to a katana but it's usually broader and bigger. Of course, classification in game doesn't always fits their real life counter parts (and that's ok), but I think it's important to know the differences.
Wakizashi are not Katana tbh, and most the time Wakizashi is not used for combat by samurai, mostly used for Ritual Killings in the name of 'Honor'. And another thing, Ninjato are also not Katana, they are used by Shinobi in combat as one of their main weapons
My question is why are they adding a class that is not a classic in MMO games? was talking with a lot of ppl in the game and no one is excited for the release of samurai class. We need something with dark powers , catastrophic skills , like a dark mage or a void knight
Pffft, using a katana for Samurai Class? What a cliche. I WILL USE BIG AXE FOR MY SAMURAI CLASS!!! (Also, although it isn't a katana, I highly suggest using the Naginata spear from Yokai Island for the class, since real life samurai ALSO used that type of weapon as well, so it's quite fitting)

Void knight or doom knight would be cool, not bothered it’s not a classic class already got enough of those, give us some variety

The helm came from yokai isle somewhere but I don't remember exactly where. The armor is from one of the legion collections.
