OKAY, RACING NEAR A FUCKING BLACK HOLE IS SO FREAKINGLY STUPID AWESOME, *WHAT THE HELL!?!?*
That's what I said! XD
A nice detail: Everything red and blue shifts depending on whether you're going towards or away from the black hole. Red shift when you're going towards and blue shift when going away.
I get the feeling this will be everyone's favorite track
These ships are driving so fast that not even the black hole can suck them in!
It would be way cooler if we could also race near a Pulsar, Quasar and Magnetar. And it would be way more fun if these object would have some kind of gravitational effect on our vehicle that we the drivers have to counter. But anyway this game is already 10/10
The black hole's gravity actually does affect the ship on this track, many of the jumps are terrifying because of it.
@@GuidedGuide Wow that’s fun then. Can’t wait to get my hands on this.
Game still
Is lacking content 1 month on just as a fyi.
These tracks are honestly nuts, huge step up from the original!
Depends on how you look at it. They are more complex and longer. But they lost all identity. The original had tracks designed specifically around a mechanic and theme. The new tracks are just turns, corners, loops and jumps randomly stuck together without any design language guiding them.
I like the new tracks, but most Redout fans aren't happy with the new game. They improved the controlls, but the rest is arguably worse.
@ thats what i thought, cant imagine me ever being able to memorise the tracks as they are so long
@ the biggest dissapointment so far to me seems to be the soundtrack.
there are some decent ones, but most tracks seem to sound like a 15 sec long sound loop.
try driving in tartarus, its literally the same sound for the entire race.
i have no idea what the hell is going on.
as a standalone, i woudnt have a problem with it, but compared to redout 1's outstanding OST, its really lacking.
@Stormer248 that's silly, the hardest track in sequoia was serpent due to its insanely tight turns, but those same turns come standard on Neo Tokyo in RO2. Just doesn't seem as hard because the controllability is so vastly improved in 2
3:44, so close! haha
With some of these, I've been muting the site and listening to my own music. Have to say, 'Great Dark Spot' from Redout 1 is an amazing fit for this location.
(Added) 'Red Storm' goes well with the location too but it'll go through the full theme before the race ends.
redout 1 OST was fantastic, I still have arabia terra in my main playlist
The soundtrack of this track is my favorite, even the alternative one from Streamer Mode.
3:45 Now that was a close call.
As if F-Zero GX wasn't hard enough, lol. Great flying!
Its certainly fast, but the track doesn't look as complex as F-Zero GX tracks. No hairpin or 90 degree turns
This track makes Rainbow Road look like a walk in the park.
you vs joltout would be goo to see
Conqueror is my fav team and my main ship in redout series good to see someone taming the beast. Not too many players can play with that car.
I can't believe I used to drive like this in F-Zero GX ☠☠☠
As a fellow Redout racer, have you tried racing on a first person view, like inside the ship? I find it more intimidating and challenging to race while in 1pv.
yes, I tried the "hood" or "bump" camera, but in this type of games (F-Zeros, Wipeouts) I don't like it. I prefer a cockpit cam like in the first Redout :D
UA-cam compression simply cannot handle these videos
yeah, and I always record with a very high bitrate, but well, YT compression always f*ck up the things :(
Your gameplay looks way to perfect...
Are you an AI?
Anyways watching your videos reminds me of good old times with Wip3out on psx...
How can you have this graphics? My graphics on the game are really bad and I am on High settings...
I have all the settings on "epic", but sometimes I play with all graphics options on high (performance issues) and I don't see some significant changes.
MRW, the game.
So cool! This game reminds me of F-Zero GX, actually.
idk how, this shit is soo floaty as hell, its more like that psp game that u gotta switch from blue or orange to get a boost. there has yet to be a game just as good or better than F-Zero GX
Freakin aw3some
if the switch version will look as dope as this version i gonna play this all night in bed promise!! xD
Switch version is cool but it has low graphics
i'lm still playing 2024 : )
Why is the ships health dropping when you race?
Because I keep boosting while the ship reach the max temperature. Is like a second boost bar
@@Madel_666 does the ship recharge shield energy by itself or do you have to do it manually?
@@viperthedragonsamurai.001 Recharges by itself after a period of no damage.
If you really want to see stupid fast, play this at 2 times speed
I heard this song before 💀
Me who sucks at racing games:
Ah... yes.
Nope
One to go
From what I understand, there is only 9 locations in the base game.
(Added) Did the math, the Steam page claims there's 36 tracks. If we count the boss tracks then each location has four tracks each. Divide 4 from 36 and you get 9.
@@Techhunter_Talon Actually there is a 10th one available in the tutorials as Vertex. so that's how you get 36 tracks on 10 environments.
Edit: Given the "community" section in the menu and the claim that Vertex allows for infinite tracks, I am wondering what they are trying to imply with it all.
@@Thaumatarge Are there 9 tracks for VERTEX? Seeing as multiplying nine and three puts that at 27 with 9 left over for 36.
This game fu*ks, in a good way
🥺 so beautiful
Nice cornering dude. The first game had way better music though
Omg
Physic is just a joke on this game. Lmao racing on literal black lol
