Didn't realise Doncaster lakeside was a crack climbing destination. I think a few years ago there was some toxic algae in there... might be why it's so bright blue.

As a kid I used to do this. I lived near a bridge very much like this from the age of eight up until I turned 11. When I turned eight and had the freedom of a new bike, I used to go to the bridge and climb under it like this. It's scary to think about now, but i didn't learn to swim until I was 12.
Campus crack climbing that's absolute madness.
Knew where that was as soon as I saw the thumbnail. Spent many days in my youth jumping my BMX into those lakes.

There are loads of bridge cracks everywhere ... but this one made a good impression by seeming RELATIVELY clean as compared to others. The only danger seems to come from falling onto the chain or swans ...
