A few years ago, I thought the idea of a second civil war, a third world war, or a large scale economic collapse absurd. Now I find all three more likely to occur all at once or in rapid succession than things going back to the way they were.

Watched a lawyer read the ruling and it's literally nothing. The court stayed their own ruling and if it goes to SCOTUS, which it absolutely will, the stay remains in effect past the deadline. It all boils down to a headline.
It is not nothingburger. It will make more states to come out with this stupid rulings unless SCOTUS cuts it right now. They did not want to weight in on 2020 and now we have this.

I live in colorado and im pissed. Colorado used to be a conservative state but has changed so much in the past 15 years. If the ppl want to vote for a certain person than that should be our right. On the legal front, I think this is bad precedent. I think Trump is a loathsome human being, and he absolutely tried to circumvent constitutional process, but the legal requirements of the 14th amendment don't seem to be met because it doesn't mention a sitting president.
And no, I am not a Biden supporter. Just like 2016, I can say that both Trump and his opposition (Hilllary at that time, Biden now) are crap options. I'm an independent.
You should get to know him better. Many stories out there from many people who have had wonderful interactions with him that were not on camera. I'm not saying he doesn't have a huge ego. But to argue he cares only for himself has much evidence to the contrary.

My name is Richard Patton, I am the person whose election tampering case got dismissed. I am proposing a debate where we debate Colorado trump ballot. I am originally a Philly native who moved to Denver who now lives in Pueblo now. If interested, I won’t try to change your opinion of we do debate, I’ll tell you my perspective on this entire ballot issue. Mind you, I might be the only progressive in Pueblo, Colorado, but I am willing to give another perspective.
Love the show. I'm an attorney. I specialize in Constitutional Law. The process coming in this issue is not a fun one and will seem unclear to everyone bc this is the brain surgery that regular doctors do not do. In fact, most lawyers do not fully understand the procedure and public policies; so strong debates continue. In the end ... the law is clear ... who wins are the Lawyers if they can get paid. Citizens and voters will likely feel reduced in purpose and not have what they want; except compromise. The Judges often try to split the baby (King Soloman reference) to objectively decide the issues here. Once the Judges publish an Order then we all have to live by that; peacefully.
OK, that said .... let's say the name you want is not there in the future .... You can write in who you want as a voter. Fill in the blank on the form. Make your choices prudently. Collectively the best decision should be found as the system of procedure is designed. Try to be reasonable and patient as we struggle thru this legal decision. Not so easy. As you know the easy day was yesterday.

Pilot here .. Yes a commercial Airlines have about 3 ways manually to fly it in case of emergency i.e (zero power). Also about 4 different ways to land the aircraft without ATC help. BTW EMP's have been used a number of times. Thats a simple google search.
Back in the 70s when I got out of high school I bought me a Ford 350 custom flatbed. I still have it and I still drive it. It has two gas tanks and it takes 40 acres to turn it around.
You guys need to do a course on financial management and methods to financial wellness so that people who aren't in that position, can be in order to acquire resources to prepare themselves. Honestly would be just as beneficial. Some folks grew up in places that never taught them the know how.

I was trained on EMP when I was in the Army and what you are saying is absolutely correct.
I don't see CO Supreme Court being upheld as there are three main issues with using 14 section 3 the way they used it. The first argument, which is what the single CO judge ruled a few weeks ago, is that "Officer of the United States" does not include the President. A prime example of this is that "Officer of the United States" is a distinct and defined entity and is not just any kind of officer. According the Article 2 Section 2 Clause 2 ALL "Officers of the United States" are appointed by the President and confirmed by the Senate. If my memory serves me correctly I have never heard of a President having to appoint themselves and get confirmed by the Senate in order to even use the powers of the President to appoint people, what we call a paradox and is not how Presidents are elected in the Constitution. The second argument is what qualifies as being onvolved in an insurrection, which isn't black and white answered and there is an issue of due process here to prove it on a case by case basis. Some argue that cases involving constitutionality don't require due process, only criminality requires it. That however brings us into the third argument, which is why at least 1 of the CO Supreme Court judges dissented as far as I'm aware, Amendment 14 section 5: "The Congress shall have the power to enforce, by appropriate legislation, the provisions of this article." This isn't something the courts can just say "yeah, he gone". Congress already fulfilled this section by creating 18 USC 2383, which bars people from ascending office, and makes issues like insurrection a solely criminal manner, meaning this has to involve due process in the courts. Trump is currently being indicted for this in the D.C. courts, so this is the only path constitutionaly or legally to be able to use 14(3). Even if he is found guilty of insurrection it STILL doesn't satisfy the first argument above of that he didn't occupy any of the government roles one previously has to be in for 14(3) to even work at all regardless if 2383 states all offices, Constitution trumps law. I believe there is no constitutionally sound way to include Trump into the provisions of 14(3), and the only way to keep him from being President is through removing him with impeachment or his cabinet voting him out via the 25th Amendment, neither of which can bar him from becoming president before hand.
This isn't going to end well. A bunker with 6 months minimum of food and water and survival equipment is starting to seem more and more of a sane purchase.

Mike it's an illegal ruling, the Colorado Supreme Court knows this because they put a stay on their own ruling until 4 Jan 24 an if Trump appeals to the U.S. Supreme Court, which he definitely is going to do, the stay on the ruling is indefinite until the U.S. Supreme Court makes a ruling on this, this is stated on page 9 of the Colorado Courts ruling. Disqualification under Section 3 of the 14th Amendment requires federal criminal conviction with evidence beyond reasonable doubt, unanimous jury and conviction upheld on appeal for rebellion or insurrection under 18 USC. S 2383, if these requirements aren't met it is an illegal ruling, Trump was never charged or convicted of insurrection, actually no J6'er was. The Supreme Court will possibly get a 9-0 ruling against the Colorado Supreme Courts illegal and unjust ruling. Constitutional attorney and Harvard professor Alan Dershowitz amongst several other Constitutional attorneys have stated the 14th Amendment Sec. 3 doesn't apply to the President of the united States.

Please correct me if I am wrong. An electromagnetic pulse is a very high power electromagnetic wave of energy that is moving through space. As a magnetic field passes over/through a conductive material, such as the hair thin copper wires in an Integrated circuit, it produces a current proportional to the strength of the field. This will overload the conductor like a fuse and damage it and any electronic circuits attached. It happens so quickly that few circuit breakers are equipped to react fast enough to protect the circuit. Whether a circuit is powered or passive should not matter theoretically. Only a true faraday structure has a chance of protecting sensitive electronics. I taught EM theory and RF Fundamentals along with RF Electronics in the Navy.
