This is truly amazing...spirit has been pushing me in this direction. I've created one deck so far but am looking at expanding. Thank you and blessings to you.
Ok, I tend to use the app...would it help to use the desktop version in my browser? I use an Android phone and Kindle... I've been wanting to create my own deck and I found your video.
Hey Melissa. I have to admit, I do very few things on my phone! I'm anti-phone! Always on desktop myself. I don't think it would be impossible to create a deck on your phone, but it would be cumbersome.
My question is..how to add a gold foil border that I chose off of Pinterest for the backs of each card on Canva. Like the border is on white background..right? How do you make the background invisible? I appreciate your help🥰 Thank you
Hi Paloma, you can't make the white background transparent in the basic canva. You can try moving the foil border to the back and put your design on top. When you click an element in your design, position will appear in the upper right. You can move it backward.
It's up to you. You can use card stock from the office supply, but the cards will be on the thin side. You can also order heavier card stock. Or you can send the images out to be printed.
@@AstrologyandTarot please indicate a gsm range that is decent so I'll just order the paper, I don't want the cards to be very thin or get folded & ruined etc
@@no17060 I've only printed mock ups of my card designs. Try searching google or facebook groups where you can ask what type of card stock is best for what you want to do. Go on print sites like vista print and see what card stock they use for business cards. Business card weight should be about right.
I'm getting ready to do my own Oracle cards..but I don't know how to use all the tools on Canva? I chose Card Portrait? And from there I don't know how to do the customization like size?..like the gold foil trim I've chosen for the backs of the cards? I've already chosen and created the cards themselves on Canva like I got my Photos from Flickr and created the cards with the text on it?
Hi Angel, you don't need to ask permission to use pixabay photos at all. If you are going to sell your deck then make sure you made meaningful alterations to the images. You can read more about it here: pixabay.com/service/faq/
Your deck is stunning! Thanks for the tutorial. I made a simple personal use Oracle deck with Bitmoji and Canva that came out pretty dope. I posted an Unboxing of it recently. I'd love if you'd check it out 😊
Yes , as far as I know pixabay images are copyright free. Check to see if you need to attribute to the photographer. I suppose you could do that on an insert in the card box if you sell them.
tarot decks have photos on one side and a design on the back usually is the same for each card....on canva is there a two sided feature to be able to design the backside?
Hey there Bee Sunny. There is not a "2-sided" feature per se, but you can add another page or design to the same project. Use the add a page to create the back.

Hi How do i design the other side of each card?
Add another card to your design stack and create the back design. When you upload to the printer, it will ask for your back design.

Great! Be watching for more. I want to do a series on this.
Thank you soooo much. Easy to follow you.
Thanks for the reply Wendy! Am thinking of doing a class on making your own deck. If you have further questions let me know.
How do you get the border on the cards?
Hi Jessie - Canva has some borders under elements. Or you can build your own using the lines under elements as well. Hope that helps!
Very cool. Thank you.
Glad you liked it. I’m up for making more videos just let me know what you’d like to see.
Can you do this from your phone or do you need a computer?
That's a good question. I know Canva has an app but I don't know the functionality of it. If you kept it real simple, maybe.
Thank you! 💜💜💜

Which kind of paper should be use to print ? Can I use my home printer for it, I'm so happy to know I can do it with canva

Create a design -- to the right custom dimensions. You can use pixels or inches.
Do you need permission to use the pixabey photos? and if so, I tried to reach out and no one answered my messages. so what do i do?

If we use pixa bay images is it free to use in oracle cards.

@@AstrologyandTarot thanks ☺️☺️
You created a separate Canva for each card or did I misunderstand that?
With canva one project can hold all 78 cards or you could break it up into several projects.
@@AstrologyandTarot I’ve figured it out. Thank you . I made 12 cards to a sheet
Copyright issues with canva?
Are you asking about printing through Canva? I haven't used Canva to print the cards so I don't know if they flag anything.
