As I've grown older, I still want the thrills of the ZX10 and ZX14 and H2, but comfort and utility now take a higher priority. So I'm looking to go with a 1000SX instead. A compromise, but one I feel good about
Don’t ever doubt that it will be too slow. I’ve had a few bikes now, my fastest only being a zx6r, but ridden way way quicker bikes. I’ve recently purchased a Royal Enfield with a staggering 24hp as my only bike, and it’s a blast to ride around, either on and off road, and I’ve never had such a chill riding experience, taking in everything around me. Also, my age is not to blame, as I’m still in my 20’s!
Actually just picked up a 2022 H2SXSE. Nice bike but I’m still beholden to my trusty 2021 1000sx! It’s a great platform that consistently delivers an excellent overall sport touring experience. I’m torn…
ZZR 1400 is one of the few in History that every pro biker must live with it for a while. Not only experience it for limited time. Its a pure LEGEND. Thank you for bringing it out. There are realy few people appreciate the epic existance of ZZR 14
Great philosophy. Thankfully we are all not built the same or live in the same urban or rural communities. It all depends especially health can play a role in your choice of bike after a major injury, eg broken wrists. I love Maxi scooters but I also ride an old grandfather bike: the 2002 Kawasaki ZG1000A17 (Concours) without panniers and fitted with a half size summer screen (comfort plus). Some like old bikes just so they can turn spanners never going near a Motorcycle shop except for parts. It's not all about speed and power in this over regulated and Policed world....There is joy from just riding what you have in the shed that currently runs and is registered.
It is one of those things you do, because a few times you left the indicator on and it makes you look like a newbie when you do that and maybe your friends called you out for it - so it becomes 2nd nature just to click it to make sure the indicator is not activated... i do this too without even realizing...
I did my DAS on a 2019 MT-07. Didn't enjoy the indicator switch, but apart from that I thought it was an absolute blast. That said, it was the first big bike I ever got on, so it's bound to have left me with that impression 😅
I've ridden a 2012 Z1400R 180 mph and a 2013 Zx1400R 196 mph at the Bonneville Salt Flats. Both were pretty easy to ride compared to 2013 Rocket 3 at 164 mph. I sold the Zx1400R after running it because it was a little to quick for me to ride in the street. The temptation to ride it quickly on the street was too hard for me to avoid. About 100 horsepower and 85 ft lbs of torque is perfect for me for the street. The 40th anniversary edition of the Zx1400R is tempting me and challenge to get a record at Bonneville at around 205 mph is an itch I need to scratch.
My 14R's power when tuned, does really affect the riding experience. With all the limiters off, it's massively fun fast or slow. It's got a hell of a personality. OTOH, so does my daily ride, a CRF300L, with 27 HP, allegedly.
Was looking for a review on this zzr1400 not listen to stuff on anything and everything regarding r7 or mt 07 or 09 ?? Your riding the zzr1400 😅anyinfo on the bloody thing 😅
Having ridden various bikes, I have settled for a Yamaha MT-09 SP, it has the right amount of power, torque and, most importantly, power to weight ratio with smooth delivery of a 3 cylinder engine. I was considering the ZH2 following your videos however, it's too heavy for me.😅 Also, here in Japan, roads are much tighter and cannot use half the power of a ZH2.
I didn't pass my cbt today, one guy quit after 2 hours and I almost crushed on to fence and wasn't in state to continue, this isn't as easy as it looks 😢my instructor said not to give up and I'm not to far off but I'm so gutted 😞 really wanted to pass and buy my first bike but after today, I'm not sure anymore 😕 Love your content, keep it up
@archie2archie oh ,no it's not that, I was cycling for years,I can balance it Ok, it's just hard to lern everything while riding 125cc for the first time, and being on point with all rules and regulations on 15 year old yamaha that don't even show what gear I'm in ,will probably look for deferent cbt place to try again
@m_o_n_s_t_e_r5678 go all the way down the gearbox to first before you start. Change up or down as the engine requires. Go back down all the gears to first when you come to a stop again. Most bikes don't tell you what gear you're in, and they don't need to tbh. Same as most cars don't tell you.
I really feel that bikes are more prupose built than cars. So the specs give you a peak of what your getting into. But that being said most new bikes are aiming for the softer more relaxed over the older purpose built machines
that's not the indicator switch it the power mode switch don't know why he's pressing it he just showing us I don't have a mode switch on eney of my bike he thinks he's flash
It is the indicator (for many riders it becomes 2nd nature just to click it to make sure the indicator is not activated). The power mode and display controls are the grey up and down toggle and select button above it.
Maybe for you. I think most motorcycles look fine. I bought my bike for the power for riding with a passenger, the comfort for longer days, and the features of the suspension and brakes.
You can't prefer torque to horsepower. You prefer a bike that makes more power at lower RPMs. I can make 100 ft lbs of torque with wrench putting on a wheel nut. I can't do that so fast it can get 700 pounds down the road at 100 mph.
As I've grown older, I still want the thrills of the ZX10 and ZX14 and H2, but comfort and utility now take a higher priority. So I'm looking to go with a 1000SX instead. A compromise, but one I feel good about
You won't regret it, mate, I own 2023 Ninja 1000sx and I love mine, plenty of low down torque and power when you need it for the street 🇦🇺👍
Don’t ever doubt that it will be too slow. I’ve had a few bikes now, my fastest only being a zx6r, but ridden way way quicker bikes. I bought a ‘23 1000SX and fell in love with it. Plenty of power + comfort. Perfect combination.😊
Take a BMW S1000XR or Super Duke GT for a spin too.

Thanks, goblin, for keeping the zx14r alive cause there's no comparison
The king of this Idea is the SV1000, people see a liter bike that 'only' produces 120hp and immediately dismiss it.
Thought I was the only one who constantly hits my indicator cancel obsessively… thanks
Safer than looking fown for a second or two

has anyone ever noticed that goblin has this thing about pressing his indicator switch alot lmao 🤣🤣
It is one of those things you do, because a few times you left the indicator on and it makes you look like a newbie when you do that and maybe your friends called you out for it - so it becomes 2nd nature just to click it to make sure the indicator is not activated... i do this too without even realizing...
now that I paid more attention to it - he is definitely over-doing it 🤣
@@BorisZX6R its not one of them things you over do lol
It’s because he’s a newbie. A tell tale sign of an inexperienced rider.
Checking your indicator switch is a tell that your an inexperienced rider.
I honestly wish you'd get a new jacket or at least do those dam cuffs up its doing my head lol 😂

Sounds great at idle.

I'd love to see your take on a Moto Guzzi. Perhaps one of the older V7s, from before RBW.
I didn't pass my cbt today, one guy quit after 2 hours and I almost crushed on to fence and wasn't in state to continue, this isn't as easy as it looks 😢my instructor said not to give up and I'm not to far off but

Don't give up. Get a pushbike to practice on first. If you fall off that, then please give up.

Please leave the indicator button alone. You have a real problem with it…….
you been riding few bikes now what are you loving now at this time as one bike to keeper in garage..please tell?? MT 10?? street triple ?? zx 14 ??
Superbe moto
1:11 At least they didn't glue themselves to the grass. ;)
It’s power from one wheel.
idiot blue car... lol. love your vids!
Just checking.
Checking your indicator switch constantly is a tell that your an inexperienced rider.
Explain
It matters the tiniest bit like for motorway and pulling out of some trouble and that is the trap that has you give up your beloved _weaker_ bike.

Definitely the indicator
I disagree, buying a bike is mainly down to looks, design and aesthetics. The spec sheet is a secondary issue
Maybe for you. I think most motorcycles look fine. I bought my bike for the power for riding with a passenger, the comfort for longer days, and the features of the suspension and brakes.
Go for gtr 1400 much better bike then zzr
MT-09-SP. 2023
Sadly over-rated.
You should stick to a 125, you can't ride this.
You can't prefer torque to horsepower. You prefer a bike that makes more power at lower RPMs.
I can make 100 ft lbs of torque with wrench putting on a wheel nut. I can't do that so fast it can get 700 pounds down the road at 100 mph.
