For longevity of the head, valves, cams, a lot of techs recommend revving above 3,000 fairly often because of an oil flow to head issue on these. They enjoy the whole rev range

I have my 2nd 84 Sabre. Got as a $300 dollar basket case with less than 20000 miles on it( it had over heated some time in the past ). It sat torn down in a shed for ten years forgotten. It took 8 months to get back together and now looks and runs great! The only things I liked more about my first one was at the time it wasn't a 40 year old bike and second it came with the optional Honda line fairing which made a serious difference in high speed comfort. The power and fuel economy are quite impressive even by todays standards!

just got my 83 magna v65, oh my god it pulls hard and lights up the rear in first. just broke my valve cover bolt last night tho so shes going to be down for a bit :(

Good luck getting that bolt out and getting her back out on the road!

You can get it out with some penetrating oil and reverse bits most likely

Tach works but speedo was damaged in one of my 2 accidents on this beast

@@mcycleshawn I just got my 85 Sabre tuned up and new tires put on, that thing is spooky fast…!
