Their old singer Sushi departed to found his new project Ghostkid because he wanted to do more serious stuff. The Band got Nico instead and did Hypa Hypa and completely blew up. Both great but better apart imo.
The best costumes and make up I've ever seen in a music video. Kami Zero could work for Hollywood and win Oscars. He does a lot for EC, but this is a masterpiece of artwork. Unfortunately, it doesn't get much attention here and in other reactions. EC has several more serious songs. They've been around for over 10 years. They had already made a video about school shooting.
I love both of their vocals so much. Nico has this nice poppy clean voice with a lot of range and Kevin’s screaming and deep growls do something to me 😅 I haven’t checked your channel but if you haven’t, definitely have a go at Parasite please

I was interested that you referenced Prodigy for a sound reference point. Most of the folks who make that connection are British so that intrigued me too.

I'm glad you're into the darker Electric Callboy stuff as well, and I can hear the Prodigy connection too, now that you mention it. The dark synths also remind me of some music by Pendulum, who for me continued to carry the torch that Prodigy ignited with their electronic/live music crossover. If you’re feeling up for it, I would highly recommend revisiting Kim Dracula, he has a song called land of the sun and it is amazing and has so many twists like all his other songs however they are more enjoyable and quite funny, also the breakdown is nothing to sleep on!
