Bodhisattva Nagarjuna (龙树菩萨) is known as the second Buddha who is the founder of the Middle Way (Madhyamika 中观) School which best illustrates the doctrine of Shunyata (Emptiness). He is an advocate for Mahayana Buddhism and is regarded as the common patriarch for all the Mahayana schools in Chinese Buddhism.
It's important to note that Bodhisattva Nagarjuna also sought rebirth to the Pure Land and recommended the Pure Land Dharma to all as it's the easiest path to realise Buddhahood in one lifetime (after rebirth) due to Amitabha Buddha's power. The Pure Land Dharma is suitable for all people with different levels of capacities and good roots.

Bodhi tree represents the tree which Shakyamuni Buddha sat under and realised Buddhahood, so it's called Bodhi (awakened) tree. Amituofo 🙏

@@zach6107 It's funny, you're using the same source that told me that Nargajuna was also an alchemist, which as an advisor to a king, would likely be the case.
I thought Nargajuna was a Buddha?
He's known as the second Buddha, we still address him as a Bodhisattva, very possible that he realised Buddhahood long ago too, like many Bodhisattvas who came back as Bodhisattvas to assist the Buddha. Amituofo 🙏
@@PureLandBuddhism I mean, why would you call him a Bodhisattva, if he's a Buddha. He's credited with promoting Mahayana Buddhism, and clearly understood Nirvana. Lots of ppl are Bodhisattvas, not all understand Nirvana, nor are they all remembered as Buddhas after death for promoting a lineage.
@@aurora3655this I've talked about in the following video. Guanyin is also a Buddha but we still call him a bodhisattva in this world. At one period in time in one Buddhaland,there can only be the teachings of one Buddha so not to confuse people. Other Buddhas even when they come here to help, they will remain the position of a bodhisattva. Amituofo 🙏
