Really good way to approach educating new anglers to the sport without putting them off completely. You’re right, we all start at the same place, regardless of where we are in our life or our age. Good podcast and video guys. Most importantly what this video showed me is that I’m missing out by not listening to the podcasts when they come out, won’t happen again!
Good balance in the discussion, Guys. Natural recruitment is a powerful force if allowed to remain unmolested. I’m for fishing other sections of the stream as it is for many, a year round sport.
I’d like to hear your take on the zombie fish we see dying on the Provo after the spawn. I’ve heard just stress, I’ve heard a virus. Is it something they can get over or are they doomed?
I’m not completely sure, but aren’t the biggest trout the spawners which have the best genetics and removing them from the ecosystem damages the fishery? This is definitely the case with Crappies and other panfish. Obviously when a fishery is over populated it is good keep the younger generations. Plus I have found that the older/larger a fish is the worse eating they are.

Great podcast. Super helpful to get this sort of commentary even if we may have discussed some of this in person in the past

Devin Olson’s tungsten taco egg in fluorescent cheese catches all year long. Samsquatch looks like Rob Zombie.🤣😆😂
Very good year lance.

Top recommended winter nymph pattern?
Keep up the work! thank you.
Rainbow warrior is always a good choice for winter fishing. I also do well with black stuff, like a soft hackle france fly.
Hard to go wrong with a midge, Frenchie, or Pheasant tail. Smaller is generally better in winter, 20 or smaller
tasmanian devil for me.
How early have you guys seen cutthroat and rainbows spawn in stillwaters and rivers ?
Look up guy on a Buffalo. Episode 2 changed my life. Straight up mauled by a cougar…
easy to catch? lol i must realllly suck! Ok so there are sections of the river that I wont fish. wide, flat, the obvious spawning grounds.
