- So I finally had my FIRST day of law school!!😅 It was an exciting day, but it was also super nerve-racking. I was so happy to be able to be in person, at least partially, for my classes. I’m really feeling for those who have to be completely online. Because let me tell y’all, zoom university ain’t no joke.
Check out this video if you want to see what my first day was like as well as what it was like to do class online. I will probably be doing more of logs in the future of what a week in my life or a day in my life looks like.
Make sure to subscribe and turn on your post notifications so that you don’t miss any more of my videos as I document my journey through law school and adulthood. Let’s all take this day by day together! 💗💗💗

1. Celebrate the little things. You made it through the first day!! Yay! 🎉🎊
2. Definitely allow some flexibility in your schedule. Maybe even schedule some time to do absolutely nothing.
3. Always remember that Excel (or Google's version) is life.
4. From your cousin: "Tell her to keep her fingers away from her eyes and nose!" and "Wash yo hands!" ❤️
Curtis Ransom 😂😂 I am washing my hands!! And definitely remaining flexible. Thanks guys!!
This is a moment to embrace the opportunity to show you have what it takes to learn, adapt, and grow into a greater version of yourself as a person and as a law student. You're not a 1L by "accident," it took hard work and dedication to get into law school! Keep that same effort and energy and you'll excel as a 1L!
Thank you so much for your words of encouragement! Much needed this week :)
I love the window in your room. Like idk why that’s my first comment lol but I just think the shape is so cool. Love your videos. Thanks for content during my LSAT study breaks 👌🏾

Yay!!
How many cases do you have to read per class?
JF B it depends! On average I’m reading 2-3 cases per class per day. But the textbooks sometimes include explanations as well so it’s about 15-20 pages per class per day.
Welcome to Emory! It sounds like you have Prof. Nash. (am I right?) Good luck with 1L year!
Yes, I do! Thank you!!
Hi Bex, we haven't had a chance to meet. Under normal circumstances (like no Covid) we would have met by now. I'm Genia and I am on campus every day. Come by the office if you need anything. I'm in-suite G114B
