Just finished watching the whole show. And it was amazing! I’m doubtful that X-Men Evolution will ever get a fifth season. But we can at least take solace in the fact that we have this incredible adaptation of the X-Men to start with.
I loved X-Men evolution. I truly believe it was one of if my the best X-Men adaptation, and I truly wish that they had a season 5 and continued the story.
FRISHR that doesn't make sence than becuase wouldn't kitty be a part of the x-men at the beginning and they don't know who colossus or nightcrawler or angel are and x-23 and spyke arn't in it
No, I think they belong to their own alternate timelines. The reason is because in the 1992 x-men, when magneto tried to help beast break out of his jail, beast mentions he never met magneto but assumes that is him, but in x-men evolution, beast and magneto knew each other well and worked together in season 4 to stop apocalypse. So if the 1992 x-men really did happen after x-men evolution, beast would've known magneto due to his experience working alongside him in evolution.
Today I finished rewatching X-Men evolution and I have to say it was a pretty good show! I really do hope they bring out another few seasons in the future 🤞
U don't kno how pissed I was and still am that there will not be a fifth season. I mean its rare a show gets cancelled then comes back. But this is x-men, who doesn't like x-men. It was the BEST Marvel series to me.
It would been awesome to see what this series Phoenix Saga could’ve turned out. It’s also a shame that Scott’s voice actor is in the great Mutant Academy in the sky.
best way to end it, not showing the actual Phoenix Saga or doing the X-Force with Cable, just saying "I seen the future" and hint at it, brilliant move on the writers part. Because lets be honest, as fans we would bitch about it no matter what they do. We hatex X-3 and when the new movie comes out in 2018 or 2020 we will hate on that too,
Silent Gamer2015 well yeah x3 was just bad though I liked xmen apocalypse and days of future past I hope they do better than they did though, xmen Phoenix saga in the 90's was the best though
No the problem was the fact that they did the Phoenix Saga in just one movie, both times. The Phoenix Saga is a SAGA. It should never be adapted into one film. It should be a trilogy or at the bare minimum, a long two part film.
I might be in the minority but I enjoyed every x-men movie ever made except for the wolverine which was trash. Out of all the marvel franchises id say the x-men movies were easily the best and the only ones worth watching again with the exception of endgame.
I think X-men Evolution ending after 4 seasons was a good decision. In my opinion, the show peaked in season 3. This was a sorta "and the adventures continue" kind of ending without having an annoying cliffhanger.
Yeah, X-Men Evolution's finale feels like a pretty fitting place to end compared to something like Spectacular Spider-Man's ending. It was just right amount of closure for me as a fan.
After seeing episodes intermittently as a kid when the show originally aired, I've been binging the entire series this week and I finally finished it tonight. This show is truly something else. One of the best versions of the X-Men, period. For my money, some of the best versions of the characters, period. So grateful that it exists and that despite its ending much too soon, it never lost any of what it was throughout. I watch it and I feel the same kind of freshness and excitement nearly 20 years later. I hope everyone involved knows that they were part of something special. And I sincerely hope that the MCU is taking notes from this show for their future X-Men films. Long live X-Men: Evolution.
when evolution was hittings its strides, it did a greater job of story telling than tas did. Evolution is certainly the blueprint to getting the xmen into the mcu.
I loved all of these characters. So far, they're all my favorite versions of the characters. I especially love the Professor in this series. He had an amazing sense of humor, had really great moments of caring for each person. One of my favorite Charles Xavier scenes was in the series finale when the Professor was about to go off against Apocalypse and he and Jean had that discussion. It wasn't a moment between student and teacher, it was a moment between a kid and someone who was basically her parent for who knows how long, I'd imagine a good couple years. Their VAs really sold that scene for me. I wish more versions would do that. I don't need them calling the Professor dad or anything, just have little moments where they have parent/child moments. Even if they're adults they can still have those moments. Heck, even if they meet the Professor as an adult they can still at least have family moments.
I love a lot of the iterations of the characters. Nightcrawler and Shadowkat actually act like kids(most iterations of Kurt have him as a bit more serious character), Jean and Storm are shown just how powerful they can be, Cyclops is shown growing into a leader, and best of all, Wolverine is a grumpy, caring uncle in the group and he doesn't try to go and have relationships with girls ten times younger than him!
I miss this show. It wasn't perfect but I loved it. They really made you feel for the characters. I wish they would've gone into more detail on some stuff and brought characters like Irene or the New Mutants around more often but even still I loved what they did do. Heck, they gave us X-23. I'd like for the staff to do something like this again or even a sequel series. Also, that ending speech, I love the ending speech.
This is how you end a show! You give people something to reflect on instead of dragging it out. You could tell that X-Men Evolution was gonna be great just by looking at the 2000 promo alone. 21 years old and still a great memory...and for that I am proud.
I really loved how they handled Rogue’s arc in the first season. It was brilliant and I was happy to see my favorite character develop and struggle through everything as she found her place in the world. I would have loved to see her grow in the use of her powers and see where she was going next.
Apparently, she was also going to be the key to stopping Jean in the future too. Jean would develop her violent Phoenix personality, and she'd beg Rogue to siphon off Phoenix's power to weaken her enough so that Jean could regain control and kill herself/Phoenix. This would give Rogue her flying powers and fuller control over her absorbing.
@@joelmavity1467 Really, this show was pretty good with foreshadowing and setting up future plot points. Like how "Mindbender" set up the Apocalypse storyline and "Uprising" gave us Leech.
I really love her in the x-men franchise overall but it felt like she was the main character the entire series. At one point she was the avatar that had the ability to control everyone else's powers and had far better mastery at them than their own original owners which ,made no sense because her mind would not be able to handle that kind of responsibility. It really frustrates me that the show made it seem like she could handle jean grey's powers better than jean grey could, if she were to absorb the phoenix or anything like that she would be destroyed in an instant. Not to mention the ridiculous love triangle that should have been between jean grey ,scott, and logan. They just made her an annoying jealous obstacle that could not take the hint that jean grey and scott had better chemistry.... A real friend would not act like that
It's a pity that Deadpool never really got to show up in more forms of television media before he started gaining popularity in the late 00s'. It would have been cool to see him.
This moment was very emotional but I feel like a long series comparing the animation from the first season to this one I can see that the animation I feel like God cheaper somehow it's not as good as the first season was but it was a very emotional moments I feel like I I didn't expect to them to do the Phoenix thing with Jean and neither did I expect the rest to still be evil but this is this show was amazing not gonna lie😊😍😍
Foreshadowing: While hugging Jean, *Xavier looks noticeably saddened.* In the next scene, he talks about his visions, so he knew then what will happen to her in the future.
This was my first super hero experience ever as a kid and I really liked it. I only became a fan again in my junior or maybe senior year of high school when everyone started talking about Infinity War. Now I love superhero movies.
Love this show. It must've been hard for Charles getting a hug from such a good friend, knowing that someday she would be the enemy, and Jean doesn't know about it until it happens. One thing is confusing me, though... TV Tropes claims that Jean isn't in the ending card at the end, that she's dead. But she's right there between Scott and Rogue! She's still alive in the end.
"And with a heavy heart, i saw the dearest of friends become the most terrible of enemies."

@@imaadshahrukh4829 Why not all 3 If handled by the right people it would be amazing
im with you, I used to watch this show with my mom and i miss it now adays im always mad like a never dieing inferno but watching this show makes the anger go away with a few things.
In the future I might be able to do that 🤷🏻♀️👀
GunsolKyle I would prefer evolution or wolverine in the X-Men rather than 90s X-Men to be revived.

With X-Men 97 out now, maybe we'll pick things up with Evolution too.
I’m hoping so too
There would be no point in running 2 x men shows at the same time. Especially when 97 has better art style. Maybe a reboot I could see but they would never
@@krashdummiez007 maybe when X-Men 97 ends then we can get a reboot or a season five of X-Men evolution
@@Jay-fw6joI love X-Men Evolution but X-Men 97 is way better
this x-men series ending was alot more happier than the uncanny x-men series ending. this one had hope for the future.
I really wished we could have gotten another season...X-men Evolution was too good to be put away too early,
Incredible animation, it deserved a sequel!
One of the few shows that were canceled but ended with closure.
Karen Filippelli But lance/kitty/colossus
And thus began The X-Men 1992 series....kinda
FRISHR Exactly. Evolution is like the story before the 1992 X-Men
Kinda. Lol
FRISHR that doesn't make sence than becuase wouldn't kitty be a part of the x-men at the beginning and they don't know who colossus or nightcrawler or angel are and x-23 and spyke arn't in it
@poppingcandy in the movie universe anyway
No, I think they belong to their own alternate timelines. The reason is because in the 1992 x-men, when magneto tried to help beast break out of his jail, beast mentions he never met magneto but assumes that is him, but in x-men evolution, beast and magneto knew each other well and worked together in season 4 to stop apocalypse. So if the 1992 x-men really did happen after x-men evolution, beast would've known magneto due to his experience working alongside him in evolution.
This animation was the reason I still like X-men so much. Such a great run.
Today I finished rewatching X-Men evolution and I have to say it was a pretty good show! I really do hope they bring out another few seasons in the future 🤞
Anyone else saw Dark Phoenix, X-23, Gambit, or Nimrod (or those Prime Sentinels) Bastion controls?
That was Nimrod? I was always curious. Who is that robot?
@@jesusarellanoperez3197 It's either Nimrod or Bastion
U don't kno how pissed I was and still am that there will not be a fifth season. I mean its rare a show gets cancelled then comes back. But this is x-men, who doesn't like x-men. It was the BEST Marvel series to me.
U still alive?
@@Ryanasuarusrex duh lol. why ask?
@@vestige16 lol because your comment was 9 years ago lmao 😂😂
Netflix needs to revive this show!
Power Armor Patriot Disney+ would hope they do
Joseph Usher But Disney didn't make this...
It's still on Disney + probably because Disney brought the x men back so they might return to the mcu
So, Jean becomes Phoenix, X23 and Magneto join the X0Men, and the Brotherhood join Shield.... an someone tell me what the heck happened to Mystique?
She died remember?
leoncrazyman07 actually she was brought back to life by apocalypse as one of his four horsemen and was resented by her children after being revived.
She became Jennifer Lawrence
FRISHR lol so true.
What about Wolverine!?!
This show was criminally underrated.
Given how well they did the Apocalypse story, it’s a shame they didn’t get a chance to do the Phoenix or the Sentinel stories
The Phoenix Saga would've been a worthy addition to the X-Men series. What a shame it was never produced. 😞
We hatex X-3 and when the new movie comes out in 2018 or 2020 we will hate on that too,
Silent Gamer2015 well yeah x3 was just bad though I liked xmen apocalypse and days of future past I hope they do better than they did though, xmen Phoenix saga in the 90's was the best though
but to be fair their adaptation of phoenix was bound to be interesting as they handled the jean grey character quite well
@@urickmann7768 the dark Phoenix was bad though
@@YuzuMelodious Frankly, this ending wasn't as contrived at the 90s show ending...where Xavier was stupid enough to let Gyrich within 100 feet of him.
Evolution is certainly the blueprint to getting the xmen into the mcu.
future rogue look so badass.
I have no idea why, but whenever I watch this, I feel the saddest I've ever felt in my life!
HA! this proves that they should have made a season 5!
Kind of glad it ended like this. Wouldn't have liked to see Jean killed off if that was the plan for season five.
They should really make a sequel of this. Storywise, X-men evolution is probably the best X-men cartoon around.
Who else really wants a X-men evolution season 5
5,6,7,8,9,10
Give me all
I think they canceled the show due lack of comic sales.
Maybe in 10 years or we will get an X-men 2000’s as a continuation like we have now with x men 97
Loved this..
My childhood..
Loved Scott & Jean..
This is how you end a show! You give people something to reflect on instead of dragging it out. You could tell that X-Men Evolution was gonna be great just by looking at the 2000 promo alone. 21 years old and still a great memory...and for that I am proud.
Actually it was canceled
@@BlueBlazeKing Still a great memory
@@yoseflopez5141 True
I've never seen this episode. Just like tas, it ended on a good note. Along with the music it really just gives you a relaxing moment of competition
@@ShadowSonic2 That explains the foreshadowing when the Jean’s power levels increased and Rogue suggested she help drain some off.
A real friend would not act like that
@@neonraindrop8357 Why is the Logan/Jean/Scott thing good, but Rogue/Scott/Jean not good?
I would love to see designs for Emma Frost as well as Deadpool in this style.
StarDragon77
Emma Frost and Psylocke had designs I think
It's a pity that Deadpool never really got to show up in more forms of television media before he started gaining popularity in the late 00s'. It would have been cool to see him.
For emma frost, closest you'll get is from wolverine and the xmen
The Silencer we need more of wolverine and the xmen
They made designs for Emma frost, and psylocke. Both were gonna be introduced in season 5.
X-Men evolution was the best animated version so far. Once again, leave it up to the suits to make another bad decision to cancel a good show.
i am crying 😢😭.thank you for posting this .
".. Xmen will always be there" Until you have a seizure and kill them all 😂. Loved this show.
Well, there'll always be new xmen unless all mutants cease to exist.
Unless Cyclops kill Professor X first like in the comic, that old dirtbag should die
Honestly this is the best adaptation of the X-Men
Fun fact: The original x men tv series from the 90s will be revived. I wonder if some day this one will be too.

For the record, I've always considered the series Wolverine and the X-men, as the spiritual fifth season of X-men Evolution,
Finished the thing in two days. I hate when it ends and you start feeling sad because of this. Awesome show.
I think this is the greatest ending to a cartoon series.
*Sad cancellation but magnificent end*
Seeing Jean flip into Phoenix is kinda haunting
Like man oh man yall don't know whats ahead
I'll always remember how much I love the X-Men
Foreshadowing: While hugging Jean, *Xavier looks noticeably saddened.* In the next scene, he talks about his visions, so he knew then what will happen to her in the future.
And when we see the future X Men team....Jean isn't there.
Dope that people come back to this scene. Wish we had a season and beyond.
We need this back so badly 😞
Too bad there's no season 5 in these 21 years since 2003
I hope one day Marvel will revive this series like X-men 92 did this year
R.I.P Kirby Morrow
I like that this turns them into their Ultimate 1610 costume and counterparts, makes you wonder if that’s what universe it’s in
WE WERE SO CLOSE IN GETTING THEIR SENTINELS!!!!!!
This was my first super hero experience ever as a kid and I really liked it. I only became a fan again in my junior or maybe senior year of high school when everyone started talking about Infinity War. Now I love superhero movies.
If Jean Grey were to become the Dark Phoenix in the future, I get the feeling Cyclops has to sacrifice himself for her. RIP Kirby Morrow
Someone wrote a fanfic about that.
