Coming soon Morocco 🇲🇦 😊 just a one thousand night and night great getaway destination, no doubt😊 I love all Moroccan authentic tasty dishes just like always do 😊
Why Couscous on Fridays? Well I'm going to try to give you my take on it as a Moroccan: Couscous is a typical Moroccan dish that's so special to Moroccans for centuries, preparing it is not simple since it takes time, so if you're going to prepare it you better eat in a group with your family and why not invite others to enjoy it with you. But what is special to Moroccans too, is Fridays, which is a holy day for Muslims, and since Islam incites us to visite family, take care of others.... it's only logical to make couscous on Fridays, so you're enjoying two special things at the same time :)
So psyched to find your channel after seeing your recent train vlog. Appreciate that Go-to knows his way around a plate! We're coming to Morocco in November and thrilled that I can binge watch your first Morocco series! Safe travels and live it up!
Thank you ladies of the restaurant for being helpful and honest to ask just for the right price as you do for Moroccans and not scam them coz they are tourists! All my respect for all the honest people in my country to give the good image of our good education🙏
La prochaine fois que j’irai à Casa je passerai manger un couscous chez les filles « Inchaallah « et je leur dirais que c’est sur votre recommandation sur UA-cam.. THANK YOU VERY MUCH 🇲🇦 .. WELCOM TO MOROCCO 🇲🇦👍
Why couscous only in friday simply this dish It brings together family, friends and loved ones and not only in Friday also when a menber of family is died . After the funeral, they prepare dinner as charity for the deceased, and the dish is often couscous , family comes and neighbors even passers are invited to share the charity enjoy your stay in Morocco ❤
In Morocco, you don't need to go to a fancy restaurant to try delicious food. You and your husband are humble and that make all the difference. You made it easy for Salma to take care of you❤
Glad you’re enjoying your time👍 11:54 Moroccan food is spicy it’s just not hot. You can always ask for Harissa, it might not be as hot but it’s chili paste.
In addition, all Moroccan administrations, private offices, and commercial and service establishments allocate time for everyone to perform the Friday prayer and to have the couscous meal with their family I hope that will help 🇲🇦❤️🇲🇦❤️
Not only in Casablanca but all over Morocco. Couscous is a must after the Friday prayer mid-day. I can see you re a connaiseur lmao since you know Couscous goes with Leban
People eat couscous on Fridays not only because their families and friends visit them on that day, but also because some people would make the couscous to give away at the mosque and to workers and to the needy around in the area etc because it is a holy day Muslim people tend to rush in doing good deeds that day
First why Friday ? Friday is the best day of the week in the sight of God, and it is the best day on which the sun has risen. On this day, Adam was created, on it he was admitted into Paradise, on it he was expelled from it, on it he was forgiven, on it is the Hour of response, and on it the Day of Judgment will take place. The Messenger of God, peace be upon him, said: ‘The best day on which the sun has risen is Friday, on it Adam was created, on it he was admitted into Paradise, and on it he was expelled from it.’”
In addition to being the holiday for Muslims, just as Sunday is considered a holiday and sacred in Christianity and Saturday for the Jews, these are the rituals of the One God. Now, why is couscous eaten on Friday? In the past, eating couscous was not limited to one day. Moroccans used to eat it every day, and sometimes as a side dish in addition to the main dish, which was a meat and vegetable tajine or chicken and vegetables. Both dishes had to be eaten by sharing them with family, friends, or even hungry strangers, as this is part of our culture, rooted in our Islamic religion. However, later, with the European administrative system, the weekend holiday was shifted to Sunday. It is worth noting that most private sector workers, traders, and artisans still take Friday off, as it is considered a holiday in traditional Islamic and Moroccan culture. On this day, food was prepared and given as charity in mosques, and neighbors were fed, whether they were poor or wealthy. I will also mention again that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: ‘O people, spread peace and feed others…’ to the end of his hadith. May God’s peace and blessings be upon him and all of God’s messengers and prophets, peace be upon them all
