Shalltear has to be my favorite character from this series. I've always liked supernatural creatures like vampires or biblical creatures like angels or demons. I like her character design and feel her personality matches that of her abilities. Vampires aren't sparkling moody teenagers like in twilight, they are monsters able to take human form something Shalltear displays brilliantly.
My favorite thing about Shalltear is how super cute she is when she interacts with Ainz or other Guardians compared to her personality towards others. And the nightmare that is her true form. That helps.
Archimonde259, It is a fine art in my opinion to successfully pull off arrogant, prideful characters without making it seem a bit too much. That is one of the main reasons I really like Overlord, the character designs makes sense. If I'm not mistaking all the floor guardians are supposed to be level 100(Shalltear having the second highest stats only after that giant golem), while the lizardmen(who is naturally a higher level than humans) are supposed to be somewhere between level 20-30. So it is completely understandable that the floor guardians see the other beings in this new world as nothing more than flies, as seen with Shalltear casually swatting away Brain's sword with her finger nail. Then the fact that all beings in Nazarick was designed by teenagers(mostly consisting of teenage boys) makes their behavior that much more understandable. Shalltear's perverted behavior is caused by a teenage boy and Sebas chivalry and seemingly unique ability to see humans as something else than vermin is simply because his creator was a literal white knight. TL: DR This series knew exactly what it has to work with and so far it has used it brilliantly.
I don't think they were actually teenagers (Ainz Ooal Gown only accepted people with jobs so they could contribute to the guild because YGGDRASIL was a P2W pile of crap as a game apparently). Pretty sure Touch Me at least was mentioned to have a family, Ainz is also an adult and a minor office worker at the point Overlord begins. They were all giant nerds though so it still makes sense.

Ainz needed not only use an absurd amount of buffs just to initiate the fight, but also survive it. And later on in the fight Ainz inevitably had to use a whole armoury of the most legendary weapons to be able to beat her, and even then he still would of been defeated if the elf didn't create an distraction for him. All the while Shalltear was equipped with only a Lance and her natural abilities.
That form of her is her final form, she use it to fight real lvl 100 players, ainz just outsmarted shall tear and some pay to win shits, plus ainz acting was great he even fooled that his mana is almost empty.
actually you better hope we even get a season 4 in the first place as the anime was just a means to advertise their light novel and there aren't any contracts covering any more animated material for now
