Purchased the Samsung LS27DG602 as an upgrade from a Dell S2716DG. With your guidance I've been able to set it up perfectly, and it looks phenomenal. Thank you for the informative video 👍
I was able to set this monitor into an amazing state. This is how I did it. This will make everything pop and look really really good! If you enjoy HDR for that matters. High dynamic range "On". c. Change Resolution > Refreshrate 360 hz d. Apply following settings. > Use NVIDIA color settings, "32 bit color" Output color "depth 10 bpc", Output color format: "RGB" and Output dynamic range set to "full". 2. Enjoy amazing visuals. You welcome.
Great settings for the monitor bro I had pretty much the same settings. I just lowered the color from 35 to 25 and change the shadow detail from zero to -5 looks amazing. These are the kind of comments we need really helps out a lot.
Its great to see they brought over the settings they use for their OLED TVs. I prefer using active tone mapping for example as it gives a much higher APL. This works best when using the light sensor so you can set it to max brightness for daytime viewing and lower brightness for the evening. A shame this monitor doesn't have the light sensor though.
No plans to do so. It does have a lot of similarities with features and some performance characteristics, but they've bundled in their (frankly infuriating) 'Smart TV' / Tizen rubbish on that model so the OSD layout is much less intuitive.

@@PCMonitors Thanks for doing a review! Do you have another monitor to test it in a dual monitor setup? I've read about problems in that configuration (two monitors) when the screen goes to sleep.
@@AlphaSteam2 I didn't have any issues with that, but it could be system specific. Or because people aren't aware of the setting shown right at the end of the video, perhaps. There's also an 'Auto Source Switch+' setting which could possibly cause some delay or confusion with that, but I keep that disabled (which is the default state) and manually select input.
Hi, did you notice the pixel shift while using? I have a PG27AQDM and the pixel shift is set to medium but I never notice it. Did you find this model have more obvious pixel shift algorithm then other models?
No, I didn't find it obtrusive. I've used many OLED models and this one wasn't overly aggressive with its pixel shifting in my view. Obviously individual sensitivity varies and I'm quite used to such behaviour now, but there have been models I've used and actively noticed the behaviour a bit too much so I've had to disable or change the setting. This wasn't one of them (just as well, as you can't).
When the monitor is in sdr it goes to 8 bit color depth and I doesnt allow me to change it to 10bit. I can only change it of i use nvidia color settings. What do i do? Aldo is it a good idea to get icc profile from rtings reviews website?
Doesn't make a difference what you select unless you're a content creator and can actually use 10-bit for SDR. The vast majority of SDR content is 8-bit so it won't matter - if you select 10-bit it won't do you any harm, though. We provide ICC profiles in our review - feel free to use them if you wish and keep them if you prefer how things look. Most people would be happy not using them and they can potentially make some undesirable changes due to inter-unit variation. They're most useful for people who need the most accurate colour output and wish to use the gamut mapping for colour-aware applications. But if colour accuracy is important you'd get much better results profiling your own monitor with your own colorimeter or similar device.
No, I found it perfectly comfortable as with most OLEDs. But I don't specifically use or require "low brightness". The brightness regulation is the same as other OLEDs - small cyclical brightness dips, nowhere near as dramatic as PWM. Most people find them perfectly comfortable (especially for higher refresh rates), even those sensitive to traditional PWM.
Does this monitor support remote input? How are you able to toggle through the menu settings without using the joystick on the back? It does not feel very sturdy. Thanks
The OSD joystick is the only control method. There's often a bit of wobble or 'give' when using a joystick at the rear of the monitor and this one isn't an exception. It isn't too bad, actually.
