I never watched Pitch Perfect but she is iconic in Bridesmaids and it was the first time I saw her.
As a dad, I reluctantly watched Pitch Perfect with my daughter. Rebel Wilson was the best part of the movie. U just can’t help but like her and root for her at every turn. A lovable underdog.
I believe her. She is a hilarious comedian and a great person.

Here’s the part they didn’t mention during the interview: the media company she sued which was Bauer media Company appealed the decision and won the appeal against her. The reward she was that was given, $4.5 million was knocked down to just $600,000 and she was ordered by the judge to cover about 80 percent of the law fees Bauer had spent to appeal the decision probably knocked down the $600,000 to nothing. She tried to appeal the decision, but the court ruled against her, claiming that the allegation she made that she lost work on what they about printed about her was not true.

The book publishers Harper Collins just redacted the chapter about Cohen so that they can release the book in the UK because they feared a lawsuit was coming. That’s tells you she wasn’t 100 percent truthful about the allegations she’s made about Cohen. In fact 9 people who worked on the movie claimed she was said happened to her during filming was false.
@@infinitetannerit’s feel better by the way. Also the book publisher just redacted the chapter about Sacha Baron Cohen on the threat of lawsuit for the book release in UK. I guess they didn’t fact check the book throughly because if they did they wouldn’t be releasing the book at all. Also Rebel got people to order the book in bulk sales in order to get the book on The NY Times bestseller list. The following week the book fell off the list because they were no bulk sales. That’s tells you nobody wants to read her book.

Sasha Baron Cohen is a sexist and a fat phobic?! I am not a fan, but this revelation has tainted my views of him even further. It was brave of Rebel to reveal her story.
Look up RW bio in Wikipedia. RW has credibility issues on her origin story bio and other personal stories. Her SBC story . . . If anything close was true, the politicians SBC has humiliated would have enjoyed taking it to the media. RW fat shames herself - shaming herself for over feeding to weight gain as part of this book launch. She appears less credible the more you read that she has has had truth telling troubles for decades.
It’s been confirmed she lied about her statements on Sasha. Don’t believe everything you read, like the whole “eating lunch in the bathroom” is such a common trope celebrities put in their memoir to feign sympathy

Let me tell everyone out there that if you feel uncomfortable with any situation, WALK AWAY! Lying and blaming others ain’t the way to make money.
I used to like her (not love) but for her… now to attempt in one way or another cancel SBC is just disgusting. This movie literally came out 8 years ago - if she had any issues or problems, she could have/should have addressed it then… hell, I’ll even give her a 2-3 year period afterwards. She didn’t. She wrote a book, and NOW complains?! Please! Look at all her previous roles (rolls) prior: They were mocking or making herself self aware of her being overweight. She profited off of that. That’s great that she lost weight and feels better about herself - just don’t try to bring down people that gave you parts, and gave you the opportunity if you had any issues. Just pisses me off. She is not a victim here - she’s an opportunist.
100% agree. It's despicable. She wasn't forced. She did it willingly for fame and fortune. I guess she's not making that many movies, and this is her way of remaining relevant.
Rebel's not the only one who has had issues with working with Cohen. When Cohen was angling for playing Freddie Mercury, he butted heads with the remaining members of Queen over how he wanted to play FM, which was to lean in more on his sexual exploits and be more prominent overall. The band had to cut him loose because they didn't want him playing a caricature and Roger Taylor in particular has no compunction discussing it.

@@chemrebel Also, keep in mind, 8 PEOPLE went to his defense and said she had FULL control over her character and the script. People in time adapt and evolve - it wasn’t a great movie, but SBC tried to make it as graphic as possible. Sometimes you hit, sometimes you miss - overall, he has a great average of success. She’s just an opportunist that doesn’t get the same roles now because she lost weight and has to make up for that income somehow. She’s not that talented. Sorry.

Sasha Cohen using embarrassment as tool for his comedy. He does it to himself too. I think she is very off on this. I think it's ironic that she used her weight as a tool for comedy but when someone else wanted to exploit that/amp that up, she felt humiliated etc. even the way she talks about being 'fat' (bigger physicality, big girl) she does not own how she used her own weight to make people laugh.

~ I don't believe her comments about Sacha Baron Cohen...She read the script & could've walked away from filming if she was uncomfortable. Sacha has released a behind the scenes clip where Rebel is very much involved in carrying out the sex scene; she even made suggestions as to what she could add to the scene.. She was very willing & appeared to be enjoying the kiss, even more so than he.... It was uncovered in 2015, that she had lied about her upbringing, age, & name... Once it was revealed, she had the audacity to make excuses for doing so... In 2017 she announced she was related to Walt Disney. (There is no evidence to support this.) I saw an article yesterday where she thinks Adele "hates" her because Adelle avoids her. 😄... RW is trying to do & say anything to sell a book, even lie on SBC...Many of us aren't even interested in buying or reading it!
She could've turned down Sasha's script if she thought it was demeaning (and if already a lawyer, why willfully pursue a degrading, fat-shaming career on tv)? Looking for attention, pass.
