Hearing "It really does get better" is so reassuring & makes me wanna keep going. Sometimes those words & tiny things could help us more than we realize ❤️
@@edwardcullen3251 It gets better if you focus on yourself and commit to follow your purpose and prioritize your needs. Nothing to do with your outward appearance or gender. Taz made a great video about "how to have the ultimate glow up" on her main channel (she uses the term "glow up" but it's not about looks). You *can* strive for a better life. Good luck mate
this vlog felt like a warm, comforting hug and at the same time made me want to get up and take care of myself and get things done taz you radiate such positive energy, love your videos
Keep the body active and you'll have better winter than blue winter. Go do Pilate, friends available,go for tennis, bouldering, if no one there, take yourself on solo date, learn something, make something new like you made candle. Attend some workshops. Schedule these things in advance. And keep Sunday a cozy Indore say for yourself. Hope it helps. I know it's easy to fall into the blue, conscious efforts is what has changed for you and continue to do so. ❤
Going through this period of my life where I’m unsure of where to go and feeling like an imposter. However, with these vlogs it makes me feel less alone in those thoughts and helps articulate the way I go about things. I love this channel and have adored this growth series which has brought so many strangers together! I’m trying to change bit by bit and these videos help bring that heightened sense all the way down. It pushes me and I’m sure many others, so thank you for that❤
I suffer from Seasonal Affective Disorder/Winter blues too and i really believe that us brown folk are affected worse by it. Our ancestors for hundreds of generations didn't live in the cold and dark and when we do now, it causes a bit of dissonance in our bodies. I've taken bupropion for the past year to combat it and it has really helped! Also making sure you've got enough vitamin D really helps too! WE GOT THIS.
I've been watching Taz for a really loooong time now, literal years and the way she is BEAMING with happiness right now is just so beautiful and touching. I literally cried on the part when she was explaining how she's been feeling lately :). For some reason the video made me really hopeful as well because HELL YEAH!!! the peace within yourself can bring so much comfort into your life it's just so amazing. Really made my day love you!
1:14 - quick/easy vegetable hack i learned from kylie dietitian here on yt is, add a veggie/fruit to your meal. so ill add a tomato (whole literally bc i cant be bothered w prep) to my chicken rice. or i have energy to prep sliced cucumbers, i add that to every meal it makes sense with
girl.. i can't explain how much joy and comfort your videos bring to my silly little daily life, you've honestly always felt like a hug! sending you lotssss of love right back
Tips to help your body/mind in dark weather: - go outside at noon, so you can catch some brighter daylight - get an adjustable desk light, i.e. Philips hue, whet it gets dark outside at 4, you turn it on a bright setting, when it's later, like 8, you can choose a more subtle, warmer tone
I love how positive you are in this vlog, not that you're generally negative 😂 but it's so nice to see you be more bubbly and positive wondering around London with your friends ❤
I have a friend who moved to Canada a few years ago and she got pretty depressed in winter bc of lack of sunlight. She started to take vitamin d supplement and it worked well for her. Love from Portugal 🇵🇹😘
It's totally silly but I find it helps. Get a heating lamp and get your self in something comfy and summery and sit in front of it and zen out with your eyes closed and meditate. For me it resembles the warm summer sun and I feel like it just gives you the happy head chemicals.... or I am a salamander LMAO
Just gotta keep focusing on things that bring fulfillment because a lot of other things are only a band-aid until you have that in your life. I'd also add that vlogging about being introspective probably isn't actively good or better than not doing that, but obv it's a vlog channel, so...
I know it can be hard to adjust to and it doesn't always work for everyone's schedule, but I find that waking up very early and going to bed early helps me a lot, especially in the winter. Trying to hold on to each bit of light that I can! I've also started doing a bit more in depth cozy nighttime routine to help my body relax and heal which is great for the cold weather as well. I take 15-30 minute epsom salt baths each night before bed and spend time reading or meditating and sometimes stretch or foam roll afterwards. Finding things that heal me and make me feel cozy and warm in the winter are my go to for keeping my spirits up and my body healthy :)
My only effective tips are : adjust ur sleep to wake up early so u have time to chill then go out to catch the majority of the sun light. And take vitamin d capsules and magnesium. They helped me a lot
I've been watching your videos for a long time and hearing you say it was going to be OK because you went through a lot made me stop for a second. I am recovering from a burnout that really affected my health and made me feel miserable. It's now been 6 months and I'm feeling so much better, but I still struggle to feel joy and excitement. You sharing that it suddenly hit you how happy you were feeling about simply existing made me really emotional. It gives me hope that I'll get there too, sooner or later. Thank you for sharing your journey and being real. Your videos make my day everytime ❤
Stumbling upon this when I, myself, am going through a tough time is just really comforting. ❤ Thank you Taz. You really do know how to make a person feel good.
ah shit, i don't usually comment on videos but this video made me cry. Taz, i'm so proud of you and just watching the first few clips made me tear up. Seeing you grow as a person online has been such a delightful journey. I don't usually feel like this but you made me feel like i'm watching a big sister of mine telling me hey i went through same things and you saw me through them and look i feel happy. and it just gives us the hope and the desire to feel the same. Because of your videos and how much i relate to you, i have been trying to find the calmness in me too, rather respond than react to my surrounding and i was reading this book called The overthinking cure by Nick Trenton and he says the same things. But yeah, thank you for being you and sharing parts of your life to the world so people like me feel okay and not alone.
Totally agree, I feel the same way. Wanted to leave a similar comment but saw yours! Im going through a lot atm ,but Im hoping good times are coming, like taz said
Guess what?! I just watched a vlog of another creator (Hamimommy). One of her accommodations in London was one of those I checked or most probably lived in! Thats crazy!
Three quick tips for dealing with the winter mood: 1) taking vitamin d and maybe other vitamins, 2) getting up early and going for a morning walk despite the weather, 3) using a daylight lamp especially in the first half of the day. Wish you all healthy and joyful days!
Buy frozen vegetables and microwave them. Fresh veg tastes better but you'll get the fiber and nutritional benefits anyway you eat them. Canned, fresh, frozen, jarred... doesn't matter they're all good for you. The microwave is the best and fastest steamer of veggies.
Really lovely vlog. Glad you feeling better. Think moving so such in 1 year must be stressful. I feel same about winter. I feel bit stuck lately and need to get out of it. Think socail life and activities probably helps. What was that area you were in. Lush flowers
I reckon it’s “Ai-EE-dah” rather than “Ada” (like the opera Aïda) Bit like when I used to pronounce (shortly after its launch) Anaīs Anaïs An-eye-ees An-eye-ees and my friend asked me in all seriousness “why do you say it like that, when it An-ay An-ay.” ….. benefits of a really good education with a decent background of schoolgirl French and a smattering of classical music interest I guess And as others have mentioned, get yourself a full-spectrum light/light bulb and sit in front of it as often as you can for as long as you can every day.
Yes I had a general feeling of peace yesterday in the midst of a very hectic week. I was so grateful for it. Like you said when you have inner peace it doesn’t matter what else is happening. And because it is a fleeting feeling as all feelings are it is important to savor it. Thanks for sharing ❤️🔥. If you want to add yoga to your routine i am a yoga teacher. I have some videos on my channel check em out if you’d like :)
Literally tearing up while watching this! I found your channel while going through a pretty tough time in my life and you felt like my safe blanket. It's weird how people you dont even know you exist can save you by literally being their authentic self. Thank you for making me realize that I'm capable to feel so happy and proud to a person I found randomly on the internet. It's such a nice feeling to have😭❤🩹

So true. 😊
It gets better if you're good looking. And especially if you're female.

I agree! Love her ever since she started ❤❤❤❤❤
"January is not gonna be great...WITH THIS MINDSET." love me some reframing growth diaries fr

My only issue is leaving my home, I get major chills and since I work from home, it happens very often. Not sure what to do to force myself out

Oh gosh I imagine moving from Portugal to Canada IS a harsh experience for the body.
There's daylight lamp you can buy. They actually do work.

So happy you’re doing well!!😊
Love you, Taz! Better days ahead for all of us! ❤
14:40 this Italian restaurant is so gooood! I know exactly where you went as I had just passed that Christmas shop the other week lol
You are so sweet, Taz! Your videos are so comforting. Glad to see you joyful and hear these great things from you. Be blessed! :)
I had to pause and comment when you mentioned Dr. Who and the statues who move when you blink, it’s one of my favourite episodes.

Your words totally make sense right now. I feel this video has come at exactly the right time for me. ❤😊
sometimes you just gotta do the classic winter activities, like building snowman or going ice skating, or baking the most sweet cookies
YOU ARE SO EFFIN PRETTY AND BEAUTIFUL TAZ!
Never been this early I’m so excited 😝
Never thought to put lettuce in my tuna pasta salad. I also love that you consider lettuce and sweetcorn vegetables.❤
made me smile when you talked about feeling genuine joy!!!
Do you have a SAD lamp? It wakes you up with natural light which is supposed to help with sleep and with mood x

Love your videos! Curious where the candle making class was. I live in London too. Seems like a fun activity. ❤
Take Vitamin D and book a holiday for the end of Jan to look forward to. Somewhere warm.
What a lovely & fun market ! Can I ask what is the name & where is it located ? 🌸🌷🌸🌷
hey taz, what's the name of the area you went strolling in? And what's the name of that cool shop with the candle holders?? I'd love to pop by!!
Great job!

Train - if you get winter blues
Just grind vegetables in a grinder and drink….
Sprouts juice…. Eating two bowls is a lot… drinking it is easier..
You set you clocks back there also?
Seasonal depression is real. You may want to get a sun lamp, increase your vitamin D, and wake up earlier to enjoy more daytime hours. ❤❤❤❤
Hellloooo taz!!!
Did she like the flowers?
