If a person pronounced Glisan the way you said was correct, (I have heard it was the correct pronunciation), that person would no doubt be seen as someone who is not a local. I have never heard of anyone pronouncing it that way. Even my Canadian husband pronounces the street as "Gleeson". Hm...maybe I taught him. After all, he pronounced Oregon incorrectly when he first moved to Oregon. I've never been to a Bob's Big Boy. In Seattle, we have Shake Shack and Dick's Burgers (where, "don't eat meat, but bugs instead" Bill Gates had his picture taken while waiting for his Dick's burger.....look it up online)
