    Thank you for posting this interesting video, the mystery of the hole is now solved. :D
    I've enjoyed my Skrama 240 very much, it still seems almost new even with all that I've put it through.

    As someone who uses almost exclusively laurin metalli blades for custom knives, I absolutely love seeing the production line. Thanks guys for making amazing blanks at a fair price… wish I could buy directly from you guys though, as of right now I’m getting them from a u.s reseller , and shipping to Canada… not ideal

      Thanks for comment! Actually we use it, but we do not show it very close in video, because the step is slightly secret :)

    Thank you for the interesting video. How is the differential hardening applied? I always thought this is done by induction heated tempering, but in this video the tempering looks like a classical tempering oven.

      Hello, Thanks for asking. I am not know, what you actually meaning "differential hardening", but Skrama heated by oven and quenching in oil. If you mean soft area on the sides of blade, it is our secret. Laurin Metalli also makes induction hardened blades, those are with soft, spring hardness frame and extreme hard cutting edge. You can find those blades from our retailers. Blades www.puukkotarvike.fi/p1499-tskvh75-blade-edge-hardened-75x20x325-mm-en.html or ready knife woodsknife.fi/epages/WoodsKnife.sf/en_GB/?ViewObjectPath=%2FShops%2F2017090511%2FProducts%2F127

    Tried to buy from the UK but they don't sell here. Good communication from Verustaleka who were helpful. Odd as I can easily buy Mora even BPS etc.

      They deliver world wide, what's the issue? Local law ?

    • @Surv1ve_Thrive
      @Surv1ve_Thrive Рік тому +1

      @supernova1976 I have no idea, they said last year via a couple of friendly emails, that the closest they ship to the UK is France. Maybe is Brexit related.
      But by now I am certain I prefer stainless blades anyway and I think they are all carbon. So is not an issue for me.

      Thanks for asking. I do not have long-term statistic, but now a days we make about 2000-5000 in every year.

    I would like to buy these knives in Ukraine. Tell me where I can order a Skrama knife

      Thanks for your comment. Skrama is Varusteleka own model, like all Terävä knifes. You can order just order from www.varusteleka.com/en Laurin Metalli is only contract manufacturer, no selling.

    Seeing this I can confirm you don't have very controlled HT process... It works sure, but you won't be having any certanity of the blades... I would never sell such blades.
    Also seeing how the blade is machined into its final form, makes me feel sick.
