Jason and Lorraine. In 2016 we sold most of our belongings and left the city in southern California to start a small homestead in the mountains of North Carolina. We left the city in search for a more minimal and intentional life. We became passionate about growing our own food and knowing what exactly is in our food after I (Jason) became diagnosed with cancer. Now 8 years in remission we as a family are on a journey to live our passions.
We document our life on UA-cam videos to inspire others to get out of their comfort zone and not be afraid of change. We started our own online general store where we have available the things we make and use in real life. Thank you for following us on this incredible life changing journey!

When you put the hay in the coop and said "theres a party in here! What're you guys doing in here!" I literally cried thinking of my future coop, opening the door and saying "HIIIIIIIEEEEE!!!" loudly in my baby voice. LOL! I love your little coop! Really glad you have a channel! I told my husband about the saw side of the machete comment. He bought me a power drill and a saw and some other tools. I can totally relate to the "where have you been all my life " feeling. It's just more efficient. Thanks guys for another great video. :)

Working in the world of automation I see all automation as a producer of time. Time that can be spent doing other thibgs that haven't been automated yet or with family. Automation gets a lot of hate but it can help us all get what we want which is more time for ourselves and family.
