C215 chassis code, two door S class coupe with the very powerful M113K engine.
This is still the best and most favorite car I have ever owned!

I love my 2003 CL 55 AMG. This car is a total beast and murders every American muscle car around. I love it when kids pull up in their Mustangs, Camaros, Challengers, or Chargers, and all they see of my car are my 4 AMG chrome exhaust tips. Its too funny.

I have had my 05 s55 amg for a little over a month now and man I love the m113k. mine also has the 4 seating package so it’s a true 4 seater with the captain chairs in the rear that are also fully electric, heated, cooled, and massage. mines also got the full leather package since it’s the designo which makes it super rare for an s55 as most of them don’t have these options. basically mines spec’d like a s65 amg and it’s great it’ll help with keep its value up!
I also had the S55, lovely car! Can't beat the M113K, reliable, powerful, bulletproof, and easily upgradable. What more can you want out of a motor

My W220 is at 425,000km as of today while my G500 is at 250,000km, these engines are legit bulletproof, long lasting

I bought one here in the UK for £1500..
ABC was completely shot front to rear including the pump!..
I ripped the system out and went with coilovers..
Its now my 'Daily'...Happy as a pig in s&@t 😁

I want one so bad. I have a thing for coupes in white that have that lenghty type of look. Kinda wanted an SL55 or SL65 but I realized that theyre too short in the back and front for my taste

The design is timeless. If someone told me that CL came out around 2015 I would believe them. Most vehicles around 2005 still had a little bit of that 90s vibe especially in the headlights.

If both 500 and 55 were fully stock would there be a sound difference? I feel like I want a 55 but 500 is much cheaper and insurance but is the cl55 much more aggressive in sound? Would a cl500 sound growly with a straight pipe/sports cat? Thanks.
I got 2003 s55 AMG for about 6 years I converted to coils because abc system was to expensive and hard to work with but no choice, love the car and do my own repairs, like the CL55 but if I buy another Mercedes gonna be CLS 55 love the w219 body style
I’m a huge fan of the CLS, also a very sharp car and less issues with those. Plus Airmatic is awesome, pain free to deal with. I had a S55 with ABC, it rode like a dream
Same here. I'll try a CLS55 if the opportunity arises. Only thing that I would dread doing is the oil pump o-ring.

@@damiankikolski Yes, the E/CLS/SL have a two chambered oil pan due to the different design of the steering rack or subframe (one of em). Also has two oil pan drain bolts. The S/CL have a one piece oil pan and don't have a weak oil pump O-ring (look it up). Also the S/CL don't suffer from IC pump failure like the E/CLS/SL cars do. The 220/215 have more radiators so they don't require an upgraded IC pump. They're already upgraded from Affalterbach.
@@klowenstein483 I took out a M113K from a S55 and you’re right about the extra coolers! But last S55 AMG I had was still heat soaking bad from the pump after one-two hard pulls. The upgraded pump and split cooling really make a huge difference.
Not only all AMGs, but all Cls come with ABC, as well as SLs, only for lower spec s class it was an option. And converting to a different system is pretty hard, at least legally in Germany...
Yes you're right my old CL500 has ABC, except E55's and CLS55's those AMG's have aimatic.
Are you a dealer? That's the only way i can think that you would get it so cheap if you didn't have a lot of bids on it.
I sold my 2005 CL55 at 225,000 miles and bought a Panamera.
I definitely downgraded.
If you installed coilovers, why not add the W221 sway bars? To not make it handle bad. ABC system uses no swaybars

i bought a nice one, a facelifted 500 with the factory AMG F1 pack. had it 11 years this month, and there's nothing other than maybe a W216 I'd swap it for without having to spend over 100k (maybe a used Ferrari 612 or Porsche Panamera). New cars dont appeal to me any more
I missed this one so much I bought another one! Never selling it when I’m done, checkout my new video, aiming for 700hp with this new one! They cut down on materials on a lot of new cars, I have a W222 and lots of stuff that used to be metal is plastic now. Awesome machines to the ones who appreciate them!
not true i can open and close trunk in 03 s600 which has hydraulic trunk some of them changed to air trunk after 03 . i love the cl and your video but just one thing to note
S600 has ABC, every hydraulic suspension W220 has the open close

I noticed you had a Wisconsin WH plate on that S-Class. I'm a WI dealer, also with a CL55 that I'm getting ready to modify. I love that rear diffuser on the CL. Where'd you or your buddy find that one?

Or 80,000 +/- miles for ($19,000+)
Then there is the beater 160,000 miles for $12,000

I honestly wouldn’t worry about the mileage too much, maintenance is more important. I had a CL55 with 115k and everything was neglected, I had a S55 AMG with 175k and there was absolutely no issues whatsoever. You have to buy it from someone that just took good care of it!

I have 2002 cl500 with AMG package.
I absolutely adore this car. And I have like all the possible problems you could have. ABC leaks and compressor is bad… rain leaked into the trunk and flooded BOSE cd box and the amplifier.
I turn the key and all I get are… errors. Oh and now I can’t get it to the gear any longer.
But when I get some money… I’m gonna make this thing up like a brand new.
I hope wou will drive this car at least 4 times a day or 100 miles / day

Not all AMG in that era come with ABC suspension.
What is the exact rims model and specification? I am strugling to find a flush fit rim size and this set up on the video looks good. Only question is what offset and width they have and do they rub?
