it doesn't walk on those little "legs", those are repulsors to make the thing hover. It was meant to go on terrain that couldn't handle the weight/massive feet of an at-te hence the name Unstable Terrain Artillery Transport

Yeah just because the scene is when they kill their Jedi but they do have the snow trooper head mold so it would be so easy with a color change but yeah the more then likely wont.
@@jcrossan1351 because one of if not their only scenes are them gunning down ki adi mundi during order 66 and we all know how much lego loves order 66. Oh and they committed some pretty horrible war crimes if i'm not mistaken

The UT-AT did not have feet. It was a repulsorlift vehicle.its called the unstable terrain artillery transport for a reason. From what I remember from a lot of the stuff I looked at when i was younger, it was to be used in situations where legged vehicles could not be used due to weight displacement or the terrain being too rough.
It still had the feet. Those feet were repulsorlifts that had hydraulic pads that can move around to traverse the uneven terrain.

This model looks much more structurally solid than the previous models reviewed. What I don't like about RepublicBricks is that their models are structurally weak, but the fix is very simple. Even in this case, the side panels could be significantly stronger just by using a few parts. I know that they are display models, but they should still be significantly stronger, especially if they have an interior.
Most of the time these aren’t built physically before selling, or maybe once by a very skilled builder who knows what they are doing. It’s a shame.
@@g.williams2047 Yes, it was mentioned few times. I think that is really bad sign from RepublicBricks. They had at least one chance to do it and identify issues with build or instructions.
I am beginner in custom builds but first thing I learned is to build in real world at the same time as you build virtually to identify issues ASAP. It is called agile development in IT.
@@LudovitVarga I bought instructions to a massive, custom UCS Venator from a seller a few years ago. I was originally considering buying a model designed by a now republic bricks contributor, but changed my mind at the last second. The one I ended up purchasing is so much better in both size and detail simply because it was built physically first, then designed digitally.
If they released this, it would be amazing, and so many people would but it! especially hardcore clone wars fans!

Even if you could scan it and get free instructions, I doubt there’s a parts list at the end of it. You would still have to go through each step and mark down each price individually.

People even defended it! Like “they already made so many other new characters, they couldn’t do this one” like it’s one guys afternoon of work to make the thing that’s from the movie. So stupid.

It's not often I'm inspired to want to build a set solely because I have a specific part for it, but that Window piece is an odd one with few uses. I have a Clear (possibly blue?) version from a City Raceway Set from the 80s (6381).
The scythe set has similar angles & shaping with no gaps. That’s a cool vehicle but the gaps turn me off. Cool review 👍.
If the scratches are that big of an issue you can wet sand them out with some 1000 grit sandpaper and then hit them with some clear coat just tape off the studs. But much like you said they aren't very noticeable in the complete build so it comes down to how badly someone wants that "like new" windshield look or you could always take the loss and order some overpriced piece from overseas in new condition and wait an unknown amount of time hoping it comes in unbroken.
i hope this is said enough, but the quality of your review vids lately is AMAZING. Love it, keep up the good work 👏🏼

edit: RB is a factual scammer. Amongst scamming customers, he has also: Stole Designs from other MOC Builders in the community, Didnt/doesnt pay his Designers on time (Even AFTER their design was for sale), regularly harasses and villainizes anyone who disagrees with him or hurts his fragile ego.

Personally, nothing beats a highly equipped transport, with a detailed and fully packed interior, for me. I'm currently working on a transport design which is meant to carry exactly 100 figures, and currently, it has 28 fireable lego weapons. Solid structure, and with "shwooshability" too
2:00 as to the scratched windscreens, they're just battle damaged. It's not fresh off the assembly line, it's a vehicle that's seen some wear and tear.
When I heard that the windscreens were scratched, I had a few small scratches in my mind. But god dang, that looks like it was used as Wolverine's punching bag.

I'm not generally into SW CW sets... but this one is really nice. Also: Ryan, it's easy to polish those windshields up and get them back to a super-glossy state.
Something I kinda wish it did was giving the interior more style, like little computers and terminals and stuff

for every custom lego set, just get instruction and purchase parts yourself. basic set (without minifig) is 211$ with m&r code. That means the instructions are at least worth 29$, only for them to break even. i believe they charge 40$ for instructions, and the 200 rest is pieces and shipping. You're better off buying instructions and then buying the pieces yourself.
Looks beautiful, maybe one day we'll get it, especially with LEGO starting to listen (to some extent)

For custom prices Republic bricks is very competitive. Of course a ton of things are skipped compared to places like BrickMania(marketed their stuff at a premium level).
Republic bricks custom figures are sub par at best not the best customs.
PRO TIP: scratched windshields can be “restored” by giving them a coat of automotive clear spray paint from a can. It fills in all the scratches and they look close to new again

the opening cockpit is so flimsy and comes apart easily when trying to open or close it that I actually had to do some additional adjustments to keep it from coming apart. I also had to add a top piece to hold the cockpit closed since it will not stay close and creates a huge gap when it is closed. I like it but that cockpit really needs some better structure work on it.
Republic bricks is a good custom build seller it's just usually the parts are used, instructions are vague and parts are always missing

The UT-AT is not a walker, but a repulsor craft. The “feet” are repulsor skis
does look neat in general. why lego doesnt create certain things and create certain things over and over again beats me. its like fan fic. custom stuff is close to what you wish to have.

@@StrykeSZN Have boughten from RB’s three times and I personally have never had issues with them. I got the ARC-170, Vulture Droid and their AT-DP and all three are great. Never had issues with yellowed, gross or missing pieces either.
