Also all the leakers that predicted the features on the 16 and 16 pro are predicting 120 hz on the base model of 2025. So we’ll have to wait and see.
@@DrFernandoHidalgo I don’t think 120 Hz is coming to the base models next year so I think you’re setting yourself up for disappointment for next year for the iPhone 17 models, Because if Apple puts 120 Hz on the base model iPhones, then they’re going to have to put something else on the pro models to separate them or maybe they’ll give them a worse camera like Samsung does with the S24 series below the Ultra.

I’m on a 3 year upgrade plan with my carrier and am due for an upgrade this year. Currently rocking the base 13, but starting to notice the aging with battery life and performance. Definitely getting a Pro model this year (using some family members’ 13 Pros, I can tell the massive difference between 60 and 120 Hz), but the Pro Max feels like a VERY big phone. I’ll need the great battery life, but the price is steep. Not sure which to go with between 16 Pro and Pro Max.🤔
I just upgraded from the 13 to the galaxy s24+. Huge upgrade. Im sure the 16 pros would also be a huge upgrade. I wouldve upgraded to a Pro iphone if i had the money, but i dont think id ever upgrade to a newer iphone base model with only 60hz.
i had the first generation SE 2020 gifted to me and it already felt so outdated other than the fast processor. Its hilarious that apple is still selling basically the iPhone 8 with just a faster processor.

@@hjlnbi it gets toasty while fast charging but not anymore like it did on launch it would overhead while editing photos but not anymore from what I’ve noticed I can run Warzone mobile on max graphics at 120fps n it will get warm after 30 min but nowhere near its peak from then
@@underdasink8641 All phones in the world heat up when charging, but my problem with using my Pro Max destroyed me. Every minute it heats up and I have to turn it off to let it cool down. In the end, I decided to sell it. I hope we don’t see this problem in the 16

So I was considering getting just the base model 16. At the end of the day the only thing I’ll lose is promotion display but I don’t even notice it on my iPad. So thank you! I’m finally going to upgrade my iPhone 12 mini to iPhone 15 Pro. I thought about waiting for the 16 but after seeing some reviews of it compared to the 15 I decided I would go ahead and get the 15 Pro.
I had my iphone 12 for almost 4 years and was waiting for the base model iphone 16 to launch. At the end I decided to buy the iphone 15 pro just for the 120 hz display, 60 hz in a 800 euros phone is crazy

@@mujtaba_1315 no it’s not. It very convenient in many use cases, more so than Face ID. However, ur missing the point. Competition has things called features n options that you can turn on or off. They provide more for the customer at a lower price. Apple saves money by giving u less.

You have to have show your face fully and uncovered infront of your iPhone which could be a pain when it comes to using Apple Pay if the card reader is at a certain height or position. Even if you’re in bed. Sometimes FaceID doesn’t work then you have to use your passcode. These issues weren’t existent with TouchID.
I’m keeping my 13 Pro. Based on Apple’s iOS update track record it will be a year by the time iOS 18 is relatively bug free. With Apple Intelligence being a completely new addition to Apple’s software I expect a lot of issues for a while. By the time the iPhone 17 is released they should have everything working pretty well. Then I’ll consider an upgrade. But my battery health is still at 92% so my 13 Pro still has a lot of life left before it needs a battery.
if it wasn't for the fact that my 6 year old phone is dying, I would have skipped this year. I almost got the 15 but the overheating problem was a deal breaker for me. I will get the 16 pro max and t better last me just as current phone 😅
So your phone is an iPhone X or any X model. I would have also skipped this year if my 11 Pro Max (5 year old phone) just wasn’t glitchy and worn out badly due to heavy usage. My 11 Pro Max has also been water damage before, making the selfie camera very foggy, and the foggy selfie camera makes my Face ID non-existent, which is very annoying and inconvenient at sometimes.

Every single base iPhone before doesn't have 8GB of ram for long term performance or Apple intelligence to use Apples new software features as they progress, most base models should be upgraded this year or next year if you want to be on the cutting edge

I have a 15 pro so there is absolutely no point to upgrade. The camera button alone isn’t enough and this 15 pro will get apple intelligence. The 17 might make me consider it but for a phone this knew I’m sticking with it.
Dude upgrading from iPhone 15 to 16 is not a major deal, the take on Apple intelligence itself is a let down as well, as it will take another year for a stable and proper integration, my take here is wait for the 17, which will come with some major upgrades including the so called Apple intelligence, on the regular as well the pros,
My recommendation: if you have an iPhone 12 or order, I'd recommend you get an upgrade. Better battery life and a way better cellular modem chip are big factors.
I would not recommend anyone update for AI at this point. Keep your 13 pro max and up. Wait until AI actually is a feature worth having and not just an ambiguous promise.

I generally keep my phone for at least 3 years but the 15 plus that I purchased will go down in history as the worst device I've ever purchased for only one reason is that I can't upgrade to any of the new features, on the bright side at least I have a trade in.

i have the 15 and I really just use it for social media and gaming I dont really use alll the features. So I dont really see why i will upgrade to the 16 just because of apple intelligence. Because I know that if i were to get the 16 i wouldn't even bother to learn AI so theres really no point in upgrading your phone unless you care and actually uses new features.
i have an iphone 12 pro. works perfect and flawlessly but the only down side is battery sucks and drains fast now. from early morning at work, it’ll only last till 3 or 5pm till i’ll need to recharge it. and that’s with me not even using the phone much.😢
That’s the same with my 11 Pro Max, due to the heavy usage it’s received, it’s very worn out, and the battery sucks. When I continuously use my 11 Pro Max on full brightness (which I do a lot), the battery lasts just about 2 hours, and when I don’t use it that much, it lasts until 7 pm or something.
I find the upgrade to the 16pm from my 15PM worth it. I’m an extremely heavy user with my current phone and feel that this battery doesn’t meet my needs. I’m also very intrigued with the new AI features that they announced with the 16pm, just my opinion.
14 Pro & Pro Max are not worth upgrading, specially if we talk about EU-citizens because we will not have Apple Intelligence this and next year. The only difference for us between the 14 pm and 16 pm is the action button, the new zoom button, usb-c and thinner bezels. I will for sure not upgrade until Apple Intelligence will be available in the EU on any iPhone.
Iphone 12 for another year. Except for storage, it still does what it is supposed to. No point in investing on features which are not going to bring much change in my life! Look wise too vertical camera set up means iphone 12 does not feel old either 😊

How can an iPhone be advertised as $799 when it's actually $829. What is a "carrier partner discount"? Is Apple a provider or a tech co? Isn't a "discount" subtracted from an original price? None are worth upgrading. Stick with what you have
Every single base iPhone before doesn't have 8GB of ram for long term performance or Apple intelligence to use Apples new software features as they progress, most base models should be upgraded this year or next year if you want to be on the cutting edge

I have a 15 pro so there is absolutely no point to upgrade. The camera button alone isn’t enough and this 15 pro will get apple intelligence. The 17 might make me consider it but for a phone this knew I’m sticking with it.

Dude upgrading from iPhone 15 to 16 is not a major deal, the take on Apple intelligence itself is a let down as well, as it will take another year for a stable and proper integration, my take here is wait for the 17, which will come with some major upgrades including the so called Apple intelligence, on the regular as well the pros,
My recommendation: if you have an iPhone 12 or order, I'd recommend you get an upgrade. Better battery life and a way better cellular modem chip are big factors.

I generally keep my phone for at least 3 years but the 15 plus that I purchased will go down in history as the worst device I've ever purchased for only one reason is that I can't upgrade to any of the new features, on the bright side at least I have a trade in.

i have the 15 and I really just use it for social media and gaming I dont really use alll the features. So I dont really see why i will upgrade to the 16 just because of apple intelligence. Because I know that if i were to get the 16 i wouldn't even bother to learn AI so theres really no point in upgrading your phone unless you care and actually uses new features.

I am not so convinced of AI - and it wouldn’t be available outside the USA for a long time.
i have an iphone 12 pro. works perfect and flawlessly but the only down side is battery sucks and drains fast now. from early morning at work, it’ll only last till 3 or 5pm till i’ll need to recharge it. and that’s with me not even using the phone much.😢
That’s the same with my 11 Pro Max, due to the heavy usage it’s received, it’s very worn out, and the battery sucks. When I continuously use my 11 Pro Max on full brightness (which I do a lot), the battery lasts just about 2 hours, and when I don’t use it that much, it lasts until 7 pm or something.
I find the upgrade to the 16pm from my 15PM worth it. I’m an extremely heavy user with my current phone and feel that this battery doesn’t meet my needs. I’m also very intrigued with the new AI features that they announced with the 16pm, just my opinion.

14 Pro & Pro Max are not worth upgrading, specially if we talk about EU-citizens because we will not have Apple Intelligence this and next year. The only difference for us between the 14 pm and 16 pm is the action button, the new zoom button, usb-c and thinner bezels. I will for sure not upgrade until Apple Intelligence will be available in the EU on any iPhone.
Boycott this 16 series and force them to make a better value for money phone next year.
Iphone 12 for another year. Except for storage, it still does what it is supposed to. No point in investing on features which are not going to bring much change in my life! Look wise too vertical camera set up means iphone 12 does not feel old either 😊
