The funny thing about this is that nobody was complaining about the sound quality of a lot of the MoFIs but then freaked out when there was a digital step involved Audiophile hysteria took place! My MoFI records sound wonderful so who cares about a digital step
@@davepounds8924 It's not about there being a digital step even if the records sound good. As funny as the audiophiles with "golden ears" getting exposed was, this whole thing was about MoFi using deceitful marketing and straight up lying to their customers.
Great question! The words “MOFI Sale” are sure to be touted, either on Music Direct or channel them through a distribution channel for online or independent retailers. Amazon Days?
I, like you, was concerned because I sent mine in early in the summer with no confirmation. Got my refund in the mail today ($499.96 for 4xUD1S, btw). Glad this is finally over!
What did you send back? Sure they were dishonest but many of the UD1S sound amazing and are needed in the cadre of pressings. I have I think about 6 titles. They are quite good if you ask me and I have done immediate A/B comparisons. I do know that my system initially had issues with playing them to their fullest. My cart couldn’t handle the energy and also my other components like amp and speakers needed upgrading. I actually think they are a good gauntlet for your system. Sibilant hi hats are a common complaint. I use a much better cart (Hana ML) and sibilance is gone.
why did i just subscribe to your channel? my younger brother works in security and you just stomped on the head of the VC's self-appointed smartest guy in the room so despite being what rachel calls a "liberal hero" (to some extent), i'm a fan of yours....i appreciate rachel's use of graphics but in today's instance, YOU were alexander usyk and the other guy was tyson fury. best wishes!
David, I’m not being critical with my question. I am just curious. Did you turn the records back in because you just want to see how it would play out, sort of a benefit for the viewers of the show, or did you return the records because you genuinely were disgusted by it all?
@@aa5az423 I was genuinely disgusted as a purchaser of MFSL since the late 70’s. However, I only returned Carole King Tapestry as I thought it was subpar to their 2x45RPM regular release. Yes, this gave be a path to track the story better but my return was genuine as a consumer. Thanks for asking!

The funny thing is that you don’t understand that it was never about the sound quality. They are liars. That is/was the issue.
@@alsodoma8106 More about if you want the 33RPM verses the 45 but the orig version might sound better than the 33 UHQR
And than Muddy Waters got beat by a 60 dollar copy and Yes got beat by a 30 dollar copy. Whoops.
Audiophiles are the world biggest idiots
I received my refund today. Thanks for alerting me.
Good looking out! Thanks for the update. ✌🏽👍🏽👍🏽
I just want to know when and where are they going to sell these returned albums

But is it? I’ve contacted the team managing this as the the final agreement says “plus shipping and taxes”, so where is that additional cash?
Im not returning anything i dont have any issues with sound quality i liked them before the whole debacle and still do
I never received any shipping label this is funny I guess I will keep some of them but I was ready to spend that money on different records
Wish more labels that cut with a digital step used DSD.
Way to go MoLies!

@@SafeAndSoundTXAudioExcursion ah yes. Some people didn’t like that one. Luckily I didn’t get that one
I was told to expect a check by mid Sept. If not, fixing to be another MoFi mess

I had no interest in returning any of them. They sound great so why would I care?
